I only had the steak sandwich with chips but by God that was a yummy steak sandwich. wasn't expecting that, no grizzle or chewy bits, not too much sauce falling out, bread was perfect and flavor quite full. service was quick and waiter was so nice.
The chilli scrambled eggs were amazing. The amount of chilli, the texture of the eggs, and the salmon were fabulous. And the brioche bun was so buttery! And the best part was that I didn't even need to season it because the taste was so well balanced. The picture doesn't do it justice.Food: 5/5
Just had great Steak Sanga with long black, staff is friendly, environment is comfortable.
Have had breakfast here twice . Both times were great , consistent coffee , the pancakes were small 3 , got all the trimmings , towards the end got a little too sweet for me .
The women gave me my menu and then never came to serve me, I waited 30 minutes and none of the young women there came to serve me. It wasn’t busy, it was extremely quiet and I was like the only customer there. They obviously couldn’t be bothered serving me and wanted me to leave, so I did.
We sourced our Grand Final pies from Johnny D today. Heated them at home. My steak and mushroom was a deep rich pie with the most amazing pastry and KD’s Chicken & Leek also was a tasty little number. They had a home made look about them and a taste to match. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Previous Reviews I grabbed a couple of coffees and lemon tarts for afternoon tea.   The coffee was smooth, the lemon tarts had a light lemon flavour with a slightly creamy almost custardy texture, very delicious.  I also liked the size, not to small and not too big. Previous Review Mar-18 I called into Johnny Dante for a small snack of a lunch after a late breakfast. I took a look in the cabinets which had a range of salads, pies and various delicious slices, cakes and muffins. I only ended up having coffee and a tomato cheese toastie. The toastie was a little bit average if I'm honest. For me the bread wasn't that exciting and cheese only just melted. It really could have used another minute or two I had no complaints about the coffee as it was strong and hot the way I like it. I'd come back here to try some of the cakes and I observed some hearty breakfasts that looked tasty and well plated but would probably not give the toastie another go.
ordered porridge via ubereats. This $13 porridge came in a box the diameter of a regular mug and was only half full! No more than 4 spoons, no even enough feed a toddler. and there was only some berry jam on the top, not even a cheap slice of banana.
Good burgers and very friendly staff.
Staff always greet us with a smile. I usually order from the Skip App & never wait for my order. Crumbed chicken sandwich is my go-to brekky or lunch & it's super yummy.
Great little cafe. Always really friendly staff. I've tried the mushroom medley and zucchini fritters. Both were fresh and delicious. Coffee is good too.
