Jody Mac's Cafe

My favourite coffee place in Southland, basic small menu, fresh sandwiches and few sweets, professional nice stuff, clean, large enough to have plenty of room even in the busy time of the day, just nice and cool.

Try their great milkshakes. Still served in traditional steel or aluminium large cups. Play area for children right outside to keep kids happy. They seem a little light on for food, I haven't eaten their yet. There is a kids menu.

Worst cafe and staff have no manners . One of the staff very rude I was sitting on the table outside and watching my little one playing in playground so that I can have coffee meanwhile keep my eyes on my girl. Staff came out and very rudely telling me that table is not to sit down. I was sitting very appropriately without putting my shoes on the chair or anything like that. I saw thousands time people sitting that table it’s just how they made it and it’s not table it’s like a bench.

They make the best chai latte here for me and my boyfriend Damien Coote too but he doesn't have a chai unless he wants.

Great place for coffee or lunch. Just a pity that the kids play area outside can sometimes be a bit noisy

I love joy macs and love the way that they joke and have a laugh and listen to you when your feeling down there great people who work there

Jody Mac's is closed. I don't think it will reopen. The coffee machine and other items have gone. Very sad.

Basic but good. Friendly and helpful. Lovely sandwiches
