Very well stocked store, such a shame staff think you are doing a runner out of the store when we were looking at items,,if they are worried about that sort of thing don't put stuff near the door way,you really need to read your customers better.It was the first time we set foot into the store and the last time,so disappointed.

Always loved their range of products but staff (in this store at least) couldn't be more pushy. Ended up walking out.

When purchasing a dashboard camera as a gift for my husband for Christmas I took the salesperson's advice as to brand and accessories. However I was very clear in asking if, either my husband or I could return it after Christmas if it was not the right product etc. Yes, was the firm reply as long as it is all "wrapped as purchased" and I kept the dockets. Christmas Day arrived to find my husband had purchased us both an identical item from the same Jaycar store (so we now had 3 identical items even down to the same brand and using the same computer chip). Comfortable in the knowledge I could return the item to the store, I did not race in on Boxing day in our attempts to get away, but waited till we returned from a holiday. I went back to the store with items as purchased (not unwrapped) and the original dockets and approached the same staffmember I had bought the item from, explaining what had happened. Rather than saying that in the circumstances they would refund the purchase, he flatly refused pointing out the 7 day return policy on the docket (which he had not mentioned when I bought the items originally. I asked if a Manager could be approached and a man called "Christian" was telephoned. He also said "absolutely not! It was outside their 7 day return policy by three weeks" - well it was Christmas. But they would be "generous" and offer me a credit to buy another item. Since we had already spent over $400.00 in the store you might understand that I declined and am now approaching NSW consumer affairs dept. I also will never ever shop in that store again for anything. Under normal circumstances, I would have returned the item in 7 days - over Christmas and the holiday season, it was further down my priority list. BOO HISS for your "policy" Jaycar. I have a "policy" too and mine is never to buy anything again from a store with such an inflexible attitude to customers and particularly where the packaging is untouched, and the original dockets are presented.

Took a tool back for exchange or refund. Worst customer service experience ever! Not only did he insinuate I was lying and couldn't do my job, he swore at me. I wont be back.
