Below par for the area. I’ve cooked better scrambled eggs myself and the portion of smoked salmon was tiny. Staff friendly, but not to standard for a menu priced like that. Won’t be returning.

I’d been for just coffee before and it was fine but today my food and service experience was poor. My Poke bowl was just bad; the portion was small for the price, the rice was a gelatinous blob, the salmon was overcooked (poke is typically raw or raw seared but if you're going to cook it, do a good job), and in general the dish was completely lacking in flavour. My dining partner sent her scrambled eggs back upon arrival because there were still uncooked whites. When I went to pay I asked if he wanted feedback on the dish and he said “of course.” I spelled out what I have indicated in the review. He did not respond he just looked down, played with an iPad for a bit and then walked away. Bad food. Bad service. Save your money and go to any other sensational cafes in the Hawthorn area — Axil, Methodist, and Rustica, amongst others, deserve your money.
