Quality and taste. I'm amazed, really love this Malaysian restaurant I visited tonight. To be honest, the food is amazing! When I first went to this restaurant. It was something I became obsessed with. This night was beautiful they had the best seafood in the Melbourne area and it was amazing to find such authentic Malaysian dishes that I can enjoy. Wheelchair accessibility: Access for wheelchair users.
Came to try this out cause of the high rating. Food was not terrible but gave me no reason to come back. Similar quality to the $10 takeaway Chinese stalls you see at shopping malls. All dishes were too salty, my friend and I both drank 1 L of water after dinner. I enjoyed the tea most out of the whole dinnerIts a shame cause the reviews were really promising.
Delicious food, timely service and good value for money. Took a chance and tried this Asian restaurant based on the great reviews. To our delight, the food was tasty, authentic and served on time. We ordered the hainanese chicken and Hor fun. The serves were large and very filling. Well done guys. Surely a place to visit when craving for authentic Malaysian hawker food. We'll be back for more.
Best Malaysian cuisine - worth travelling half way around the world for. Don't let the modest dining room fool you, every dish is beautifully prepared with fresh ingredients and traditional flavours. Special mentions for the laksa and homemade silken tofu.
Very good Malaysian restaurant. We ordered Assam Fish, fried rice, king prawn with oats and blck bean tofu. They are yummy. If you are in the area then yes, worth to try but if you leave in the eastern suburbs, there are plenty of choices as good or even better.
ORDERED:   Fried Won Ton 10 pieces: $8.00 Nasi Goreng: Spicy fried rice with long bean, peas, chicken, shrimp and egg $14.80 Hokkien Mee: Thick noodles cooked in a dark soy with prawns, pork, calamari, and cabbage $15.80 + mixed noodles $1.00   Har Mee: Spicy prawn based soup with yellow noodles, roast pork, prawns, kangkong, bean shoots and a hard-boiled egg $14.80 Banana Fritter: Deep fried banana with ice cream and golden syrup $7.50 REVIEW: For some quick and affordable food, Jade Kingdom isn't a bad option. There were some disappointing things I'd like to remember for next time... if I were to come back. Namely: 1. Fried wonton sauce came out... pretty much when we finished our wontons. Really ill-timed. 2. The rice in the Nasi Goreng was too soft/moist. It's missing that dry-ness when it comes to fried rice where it can hold its structure. 3. Hokkien Mee with mixed noodles egg and vermicelli was not it. Save the dollar and stick with the original egg noodles. 4. Food in general steered towards the salty side. Would rate the banana fritter though! Really hard to get this wrong, but it was great on a hot spring day.
This place is iconic. The fish head noodles was sublime and don't get me started on the hokkien noodles, it was as authentic as can be. We've been there a few times now to try the laksa, lobak and chow kuay teow and they were all great. Highly recommended, say hi to Jenny when you're there.
Great experience dining here, we went there to finally try their most popular hokkien mee and they surely did not disappoint! It was so saucy and delicious!
Been coming here for over 30 years and the dishes still taste as good as ever. Hands down the best KL style hokkien mee in Melbourne and can even rival some of the ones back in Malaysia.
Definitely come back! The food i had was sensational! If laska king is 8 out of 10, this one is 10 out of 10. What a pity i don't live around here.
