Good and yummy Indian food.. We had a lunch there. They provide lunch deal in 15.50 nzd which is very delicious with good portion of curry, gives you veg or non-veg curry option. Stuffs was kind. If you are in Oamaru or passing form there, then definitely you can try this restaurant.
India Garden has moved to 263 Thames St and merged with Chef's Multi Cuisine. The menu now includes kebabs and some Indo Chinese dishes as well as Indian. We have not eaten there since they moves, but expect the food will continue to be excellent.
The food was pretty good - quite rich, but good meats and reasonable sauces. An odd restaurant in the sense that you are flanked by a queue of people waiting for their take aways. The walls are brightly coloured. We will probably order from them again.
This quaint little Indian restaurant makes the BEST Chicken biriyani we’ve had!! I like mine hot and hubby takes his mild. Both are equally delicious
This use to be one of the best places south island wide to get a curry, the worst thing they could have done was move shops and combine with chefs multi cuisine, since doing this the curry is below average theres no taste, claim to be the same food but defiantly not. Go back to your old shop with the old chefs that made the outstanding currys.
Service was good, place was tidy feed was ok. read a review that it was arguably the best in south island and had to try it as Im a massive Indian takeout fan. The spice level was good but the rest of it meh there is plenty better out there
Called to place an order and the person picks up and talks super rudely because I have apparently called before and cancelled orders which is a completely wrong accusation because I haven't eaten from this place from a long long time. I literally save up to buy from you guys on special occasions. Being an international student and wanting to eat your home style food is a luxury for some of us. You should understand that not everyone is rich and everyone has their own budget, specially students. Thank you for forever ruining the image of your restaurant for me and many others whom I'm gonna share the story with.
A great stop-off on the road back to Dunedin. Excellent food every time, welcoming staff, quick service and reasonably priced.
We waited over an hour for our food. To call and find the delivery guy drove back 20minutes ago. Couldn't even bother to call and let us know... oh, and we still had to pay full price for our food that was sitting there for 45 minutes....
Fantastic friendly service, delicious food and great value!
