Story

Il Forno is an authentic Woodfire pizzeria trattoria situated in the suburbs of Bonnet Bay. We aim to deliver our authentic woodfire product, to the people of the Sutherland Shire. Head Chef & owner Mende aka "Tony" has over 35 years experience as a Chef. He has worked in many countries around the world, learning his craft in Rome, and continuing to perfect it in various other countries. At Il Forno Mende offers you a unique tasting experience, in a rustic style just like you would have in the provinces of Italy, where you will enjoy all he has to offer.

Il Forno is so tasty and only uses best ingredients! I hate meat on pizzas usually... too processed... but I will eat any kind of pizza from here! Just so good!

Pizza tasted good but contracted food poisoning from a dodgy prawn. I considered myself unlucky. Second time went with a party of ten and a guest asked for a small container to be heated in the microwave as she was allergic to the food was yelled at by the owner. Shocking service.

This place is excellent. The pizza is very traditional in style and would seem to be from quality ingredients. Tony can be seen in the kitchen slicing the fresh food. Sitting outside in the enclosed area is very relaxing.
