My 91 year old disabled mother gets her weekly shopping delivered by IGA Acacia Ridge and they many times stuff her around very badly.  On two occasions a whole roast chicken came with a wing missing. (Rough handling or staff member get hungry ??) Indicates some very bad food handling hygiene standards. Will be reporting them to Brisbane City Council and government food licencing. Once they charged her for 3 chickens when she only ordered and got one. She told them but they never refunded the overcharge. Very many times items missing or wrong items sent. Often personal hygiene items are forgotten. My mum tells them but they keep making these mistakes. My mum is very generous and every time gives the delivery driver gifts of bags of macadamia nuts or other things. The delivery driver takes these every time and never offers anything back, These people are not very good.  I would have put zero stars but the lowest option allowed is one star.

Guys seriously, restock your shelves! Weeks in a row I will see that you haven’t even restocked. If it keeps happening I’ll go somewhere else because nothing I ever want has been restocked it’s bloody ridiculous

So IGA I have always been told is the cheaper supermarket, smaller...yes....cheaper...ummm....no. I think with the supermarket wars going on between the big 3 IGA has been left behind....at least on prices....oh & because they are inherently smaller in size, variety also suffers. What they do have going for them is convenience & very friendly staff....unfortunately, for this little furball the short drive down to the local Woolworths is worth the extra few minutes plus the 4 cents off fuel card & Aldi next door (not that I would bother) poor old IGA is for emergencies only.
