Located in the heart of Newtown, the stars provided are for the amazing hospitality and service by the staff. Fun and exciting games are played in the midst of dinner. We ordered Banquet B, a Meat Set and a Seafood Set. Although the food was tasty, the menu was a tad overpriced and wasn’t very filling for our family of 4. We felt very hungry after dinner. The coke I received was also flat. P.S. Call to book ahead of time for a reservation. Let the staff know if it’s a birthday or special event for a special someone and they’ll prep up the space for you.
Lovely food, efficient attentive services, nice servers. Our chef was lovely but not as lively and loud as the other guy who looks more Japanese. It was still a fun night out with lots of flames, egg and bowl throwing. Who says you can't play with your food!? :
We came here for my mom's farewell. Everyone had a great time with the games - they had us catching bowls, eggs, rice and the skillful chefs were so entertaining! Great fun for the whole family. The food was fresh, delicious and generous servings too. Kid-friendliness: Kids loved the fire show and entertaining and challenging! games. Great variety of food for the fussy kids to eat too.
What an experience!! Such showmanship!! The first time in my life I have ever had bits of omelette and bowls of fried rice thrown at me!! The restaurant itself was very basic and the food was simple, but the meal was loads of fun!! Don't wear your best clothes here...Food: 5/5
The best thing about this place really is the service and entertainment. They really make an effort to provide a fun and enjoyable experience for customers. Has become our new fave spot to celebrate bdays. The kids love it... The food is good and very tasty my only comment is the portions are very small, you seriously get such tiny bits of meat and chicken its not quite enough. We had the seafood and meat option which i think is $47pp and if it wasnt for the kids not finishing their rice I might need a snack after dinner Lol. Overall it's fine for what it is, we have been to another place which was actually more expensive but the experience wasnt the same I found Ichioku to be much friendlier and more fun in general which to me is the whole point of visiting a Teppanyaki restaurant.
Just amazing. Swift booking procedures and great service. We came to celebrate a friend's birthday and the entire evening was just incredible: Great food, super entertaining live cooking and our chef Wunna was just hilarious. And to top things, it's BYO. Highly recommendable and remarkable value for money. Thank you for an unforgettable night.

The experience there was truly disappointing! The food portion is ridiculously small for the price we paid! I would give negative starts if possible. PS: the fanta and coke we ordered were both flat and warm.
Perfect night out with my fiance. Had great fun and food was delightful. We chose to eat the banquet plus. Was a bit strange when the other couple left for no apparent reason. Then to find out they chose the much smaller meal and did not understand the concept of how the restaurant works with playing games with it too. Overall fun and great experience!
So much fun!!! Extremely talented and entertaining chef, we were laughing the whole meal. They accommodated multiple dietary requirements at our table as well. Highly recommend and will definitely go back.Food: 4/5
