LOVE this place. I have eaten here four times in the last two months, the food is authentic Japanese, fresh and delicious and the menu is quite big. My go to dishes are the chicken Karaage you have to try this, it is AMAZING okonomiyaki is also delicious and the green tea ice cream is the perfect dessert to finish off the meal. Vegetarian options: They will make most dishes with veges and/or tofu if required.
Great selection of Ramen and sides. Fast service, and the line moves fast. They have cute little dividers for single diners on the large tables, otherwise tables for groups of all sizes.
Always busy but fast service. Large variety of dishes to choose from & order from the ipad built into the table. Love the noodle soups which are not overly salty & delicious. Katsu is also great whether plain or with curry. The sukiyaki beef was a little tough for my liking & salmon don was ok. Eel had a lot of sauce, a little too much but good with rice. Takoyaki is tasty but soggy and would go for the gyoza or okonomiyaki instead. Overall really good & always reliably tasty!
My family and I came at 12pm for lunch so the lines were mildly long but it moved fairly fast. We were accommodated to seating at a table of 6 with another family of 3. I guess that was alright, but if you preferred privacy, it would’ve been a problem. Ordering is via an iPad and food is sent straight to the kitchen. It makes it a tad difficult to catch the wait staff as you’ve gotta call them personally for things such as table water, but they’re attentive once you get a hold of them. Food wise, I wasn’t a fan of ramen prior to this, but after my visit here, I’d highly recommend the Tokyo Ramen. The Pork Katsu Curry was nice too, but it’s a tad on the expensive side. Paid via the Liven App so it made things convenient.
Ichiban boshi has become a bit of a favourite haunt. I find you always get a decent meal with fast friendly service. The yakiniku don was a generous serve and very tasty. I found it to be quite a substantial meal and satisfying. The salad was pretty mediocre though! Overall, still a decent meal.
Been coming here on and off for years, since 2010. The consistently have good ramen, and as a bonus a soya tofu ramen for the vegetarians! Food here is good, service is quick. I highly recommend for quick decent food in the city before a night out!
One of the nice ramen bowls in Sydney city. It’s not the best ramen in Sydney, but worth a try. Ichi-ban boshi has been around for a while and they offer a wide range of ramen bowls. I had Tokyo ramen and chashu ramen. I always find their ramen a bit salty and not as refined as the top ramen joints in Sydney. It’s a good spot to catch up with friends and family. For these reasons I give this place 3 bears
This place is always popping off and for pretty good reason too. We visited on a Friday night m and the restaurant was pretty full, luckily we didn’t have to wait though. The service was very nice and the waiters kind. We ordered the eel taster $18 and the Tokyo ramen and a bowl of rice. Eel was super delicious with a sweet sauce, defs recommend getting rice with it. Ramen broth was also yum.
I know the photos don’t look like much, mainly because I just took terrible photos, I’ll take my word for it. The food is excellent. I love the option of Japanese beers, as well as to add things to your meals like additional tasty treats into your Ramen. The staff are lovely, and I love the option for choosing your food through the computer system under the table. Highly recommend this place.
Consider as best Japanese ramen in Sydney CBD. Staff are friendly, resto is clean, menu ordered from ipad but pay at cashier after meal. Portion is quiet small actually that's why I always order extra noodle for $4 but still the extra noodle came as small-small portion as well Avoid dine in on Sunday, will be long queue.
