Great advise from David goes the extra distance. Carefully selected range of fishing gear and the 24 hour bait lures etc is a bonus when you need to grab some when everywhere else is closed.
David is great. He really knows his stuff and he should have been employed there ages ago. I wish that they had kept more of the interesting and high end stuff like they used to have.
Gem of a place. Friendly professional staff! Where you can get your last minute tackle and bait sorted at an odd hour. Only place in Auckland that has a fishing tackle and bait vending machine 24hours!
I went into Hunts Sports Store after recommendations from many of my fishing friends. Worst service ever. The salesperson didn't know his stuff and got angry when I said to him this is what my friends had told me to buy. I wanted to support small business in my area but will take my cash elsewhere.
David was an absolute champ and gave me so much help as a beginner fisher. He even took the time to draw diagrams on knots! I’ll be back for bait, cheers mate

Purchased a reel from Hunts a year ago. Took in for a service today, and left with a perfect working reel, as well as some excellent advice on tying knots! Always great service, and they are extremely knowledgeable.
