hub 76 is node number 76 of the Holistic University of Brisbane (HUB), part of the Holistic University Network established by Dr Romesh Senewiratne-Alagaratnam Arya Chakravarti from an asbestos World War Two Cottage in Moorooka, a suburb in the Australian city of Brisbane with a military history. 

The hub 76 building was constructed out of asbestos and wood by American soldiers during the Second World War, when there was the little-publicised Battle of Brisbane, when Queenslanders tried to drive the Americans out - it was reported as a "riot".

The street on which hub 76 is located, Fegen Drive, is named after Thomas Steven Fogarty Fegen, a British navy captain who went down with his ship in the Atlantic in 1942. He was awarded a posthumous Victoria Cross (the highest award in the British Empire for bravery) and Winston Churchill used his death to try and recruit more Irish to fight for the Empire by saying that Fegen's sacrifice showed that the Irish weren't a bunch of stupid, lazy, good-for-nothings as he had previously assumed (he didn't quite use those words).
