HomeGround Real Estate is a not-for-profit real estate agency providing a professional property management service to landlords and tenants while reinvesting any profits back into the community throughtheAffordable Housing Initiative.

The agency operates under highly regarded Real Estate principal Philippe Batters who has extensive experience in the real estate industry. In addition, HomeGround Services has experience managing properties for 15 years. Prior to establishing HomeGround Real Estate we managed a range of private rental properties. We own and manage a number of properties around Melbourne and we manage over 300 properties owned by the Director of Housing.

As housing affordability continues to decline, HomeGround is committed to providing opportunities for people who are at risk of homelessness due to being priced out of the market, or who are currently experiencing homelessness. We believe that through innovation, partnerships, and engagement with the wider community, homelessness can be ended.

WORST AGENCY EVER  They do not take initiative to repair anything after several complaints. They are required to be chased for one proper discussion amd after that no steps are taken to resolve matters. Their manager Samantha will deny any onus of making things right  We have been living in our unit for 10 months and basic things like our stove, window heater intercom and lock have been broken but despite pestering and chasing the agency for months no one of the above issues have been resolved.  Trust me if you find a great house but it is being managed by HomeGround let the house go. It’s not worth dealing with the agents at this agency.

Homeground has a diamond in Emma, she treats her tenants as individuals,  always with empathy and understanding and each on their merit-  she really does care.

HomeGround Real Estate allows us to help our tenant experience safe and affordable housing. They do a great job managing our property, taking care of the building and the tenant equally, providing us with peace of mind that it is being done properly.

Based on other reviews it sounds like you may not have the same experience with all property managers however we just finished a lease as tenants through home ground and it's been the worst rental agency I have come across. Ignoring emails and calls or taking weeks to reply, ignoring our requests for immediate repairs essentials like smoke alarm, mould/damp and always trying to charge us more money in fees meaning we had to research and do everything ourselves to prove to the real estate that we shouldn't have to pay certain fees/costs. And apologies were never given when they realised they had made mistakes. Furthermore it was an extremely stressful period when we needed to break our lease. I would not recommend going through homeground as a tenant or landlord.

Very poor experience with HomeGround Real Estate. Severe lack of communication from the team. Misleading information from the  agent advising application proceeding to next stage and then no communication at all from the agency. Try to avoid using HomeGround at all costs!

If you're a tenant and Emma is your managing agent, don't expect calls to be returned or emails to be answered...ever. Would give 0 if possible, so the 1 star is for the after hours team who are actually helpful.

Homeground are the agents for my rental property and I can't recommend them enough. Through all the new requirements resulting from legislative changes over the last year or so they were amazing. Total piece of mind when dealing with the ultra professional, incredibly patient and people-first agents and a particualr thanks to Nina!
