I have been looking for a place with genuine Xian food for a while, and there is one near me.. Mmm.. The menu is very limited, literally there is about 4 things on it, simple for those who can't make up their minds. Okay enough chatter.. Let's get to the important bit - the food. The Liang Pi is spot on with the sourness and spice not too spicy, thoughi prefer a bit more spice. The noodle has the right texture and combination without overkilling it with the vegetables. The Jia Mo Lamb bun is omg! The lamb is spiced right, and it melts in your mouth. Soft and delicious... The food smelled so good and I forgot to take photo for you, will have to do it next time. It will give me a reason to go back again.. and again. Wholeheartedly recommend this place. Not sure if they speak English, if you are consider, order online and collect it. The place has very limited seating if any, so takeaway is the best option. Ps: back for the photos I promised.
Is that handmade? I think it is! It tastes different, very fresh and a little bit hot. It's one of the best in Melbourne. It is a good choice in a sunshine hot noon. I will come back! One suggestion about pork, It could be more juicy, don't have to so much soft. Thanks! I like it!!!
Terrible customer service. Despite being double vaccinated and having a medical reason for not wearing a mask I was refused service. I tried to explain this but he just said "it our policy" which tells me he doesn't understand english. That's fine but policy only applies to people who don't have a valid reason for not wearing a mask, and it seem this was borderline discrimination, since there were a couple people Asian without masks being served, but I'm not going to waste my time arguing. Makes sense why they have a low rating.
Rou jia mo comes with less pork inside. Will not come back again
The “big plate chicken” was overflowing with potatoes, capsicums, carrots, onions, chunks of chicken and flat noodles. With the generous addition of Sichuan peppercorn, you get a numbing kick with each mouthful. Bold and hearty, this is a dish that is never shy on flavours. One serve here feeds two, or maybe even three so keep that in mind when ordering. The lamb burger is spiced with cumin, and the tender pieces of shredded lamb is stuffed into a pita-like bun. The coriander adds a zesty piquant flavour to this dish. Similarly, the lamb skewer is also bursting with flavours, courtesy of the cumin, chilli and a few other spices. Comprising a good ratio of fat and meat, the lamb skewer was only let down by being grilled too long. On the other hand, the man tou was grilled to perfection and was a delicious mix of sweet, savoury and spicy. The extensive menu here features a variety of different noodles and also skewers, so there’s always something new to try when returning.
Really good, they do one set of things and do it well. I've been coming here for years for my xi an cold noodle fix
Nice cold noodles and pork burger
3 days ago Oct 2021: I think the original owner sold his business. It’s not the original owner anymore. Taste of the noodle was bad, it was quite obvious if you notice their chilli oil colour. The most important is the texture of the cold noodle, it was a little unacceptable. Still remember the last good bowl of cold noodle we have had was before the 5th lockdown. 2 years ago 2019: Loved the cold noodles and pork bun. Currently still on our take away list. The food was not bad, but we think that there are better ones out there somewhere. Still discovering...

Extremely poor service and quality of food.
