Cilantro is a small trainee restaurant run by hospitality students at the Holmesglen TAFE, Moorabbin campus, located at the back of the Holmesglen Private Hospital, at 488 South Road, Moorabbin. During the school term it's open for lunch and dinner and serves authentic French food. It's fully licensed and has an extensive beverage list including beers, spirits, cocktails and mocktails, as well as a wine list that includes house wines and cellar releases. The vast majority of the restaurant services are a'la carte, where you can order from a great selection of regularly changing menu items. The food is good, especially the savoury pastries, and all very nicely presented. They cater well for Gluten Free and Vegetarian diners. The trainee staff are very polite and friendly however, we found the service a little slow but we still recommend Cilantro. One negative with Cilantro is that it is only open during the Holmesglen school term. The price for 3-course lunch with arrival times being 12 - 12:45pm is $25pp and dinner is $30pp with arrival times being between 6 and 6:45pm.
