One time we picked up their takeaway the bag had cockroaches on it and another occasion my husband and I were violently ill eating from here. I don't know how they stay open. Where are the health inspectors when you need them? They should really clean their dirty windows. Disgusting.

I really dont mean to be harsh but they just keep getting our orders wrong. They do not understand us one bit, and Im not being racist - Im Asian too, but been here all my life. Besides that, their food is pretty good! Would be nice to be served by someone who FLUENTLY speaks and understands English though, because it's getting plain ridiculous. It's making us not want to buy from them anymore.

I have never had a bad meal from this family-run business in Moorabbin. Situated next to Holmesglen TAFE, the Hokkien Cafe has friendly staff who always take time to explain their extenisve menu. They catered very well for our family when we wished to order dishes not containing wheat, soy or nuts. Instead we had the option of rice noodles and soup and meat/veg dishes at reasonable prices. They sell cans of soft drink for $1.80 and the menu is large and varied, with everything from duck crepes, vegetarian hor fun to Singapore noodles and fried ice cream :) 4/5 stars. R.Dulloo 30/10/10
