Holiday Inn Potts Point-Sydney

I cannot say enough kind things about the overwhelmingly supportive and helpful staff. Whether it's arranging taxis or lending an umbrella, the staff are some of the most approachable, kind, and excellent individuals I have ever interacted with. The location is excellent, with dozens of food options within a five minute's walk and the train station within stumbling distance. Rooms are clean and well kept, though a little dated in several features, which was surprising given how lovely the lobby is and how popular the hotel seems to be. Anyone visiting Sydney that wants a taste of the real city should look no further than this hotel. Your experience will be excellent across every axis.

I loved the location!!! I couldn't ask for better in terms of convenience and exciting experience if you're looking for fun vibes. Just walking outside made me feel the Sydney energy. Very lovely staff. Clean and comfortable room and bathroom. I enjoyed the restaurant downstairs and fast room service. Lobby is very calm. I wish I could've stayed longer. I will come back again.

Although the booked room was "harbor views" there was little water to see, however higher rooms we were level 3 would have had glimpses. The view did include the harbor side opera house and harbor bridge and then panned to the adjacent domain and city. This was in fact a very very good view all considered, esp at night with city lights and during the day both park vistas and city buildings. Rooms modern, clean and neat. Bathroom good and tiling finish was first class. And the best, a BATH. Staff offered another hour check out 12 midday, which in the end we did not need. Restaurant for breakfast was very good standard. Surrounding precinct is a bit challenging at night this is Kings Cross but the station entrance is very close with easy connects to all the rail network. Buses to the city stopped across the road. Walk to Opera House about 35 minutes along major walkways. Trivia: no papers, no corkscrew in the room, limited milk sachets. Was not given an internet password and was too lazy to chase that up latter. The bath had a plug, which is not always the case.

Great location, right next to the metro station. Room was clean albeit a little dated and had a great view over looking Sydney’s city centre, the opera house and the Harbour bridge. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. A perfect place to stay for a city break.Rooms: 5/5
