This was our first stay at the Bayswater Lodge! and we loved it! Great location with shops, buses and trains at the door. Compact, modern room, nice decor, friendly and helpful staff, everything was excellent. We especially loved the discounted car parking deal - parking in Sydney is a nightmare!! This was cheaper and better than our usual Sydney hotel - we'll be back to see you soon! xx
I stayed here in December 2022. I had a good pleasant stay. I'll rate it as 4 star hotel and I got value for all my money. Room was very clean and Wifi was brilliant. Also had a bar fridge and kettle. Staff were very friendly and allowed me to leave my bag after check out until 6 PM Air Con worked brilliantly. Location was 10/10 for me. 2 minutes walk to King Cross station. Supermarket, Restaurants, Bars all close by. I loved it. As a solo female I felt very safe even at night. Yes its in street with club/bars and there is sometimes noise from venues but its King Cross and I booked knowing all that info, I was not phased I chose the cheapest room. I already knew it would be small as it says so on their website so it was not a negative aspect for me, I was perfectly fine with it. People need to remember that the Hotel charges rates that are in line with its 3-4 star rating, they are very fair. I couldnt have afforded my Sydney trip if I had to pay more, I'm glad this hotel was reasonable for me. Thank you Bayswater for my lovely stay
Room was clean and spacious for a great price. Staff were so friendly and accommodating. They even gave us Cadbury Easter eggs! Perfect location in the heart of kings cross. Very happy with our stay and would recommend to anyone.Rooms: 5/5
We stayed for a week in The Bayswater in Nov 2022 had the worst experience ever. Receptionist was not around when we arrived and left keys in some safe box, it feels like sneaking at your own house like a thief. In 6 days only once, cleaning was done. We were clearing up the garbage bin the whole time Bought garbage box. No water, no food at night. You are on your own in unknown country in a hotel with 4-star rating. Last day we were literally, kicked out of the room with no extra hour, Room was mess, and we were travelling with 4 years child, couldn't pack fast after a long day of walks and struggling to find thing late night, Receptionist was rude and arguing as if it was our faults. We would never recommend staying in the Bayswater. I literally cried and disparately wanted to go back Dubai. The Bayswater Sydney Potts Point - If you want to learn customer services, please come to Dubai any 2-star hotel is as good as 5-star with humble staff, who makes your trip unforgettable. Highly disappointed.
Loved my stay here. We booked the big spacious room that has a sofa bed and a king sized bed. Clean room, the carpet was clean and the toilet was too. Seamless check-in process. Very friendly reception staff. Small lift that fits 2 people with luggages. Very very cosy hotel. Location is perfect. Within 5 min walk to Kings Cross Station. A bustop right infront of the hotel that takes you to Townhall. A wide variety of food options around, a few Halal options available too. The only thing to note about this hotel is to be prepared to lug your load up a few flights of stairs to get into and out of the hotel lobby. Other than that, we had a great 4 nights stay in Sydney.
Clean, convenient and I found the staff friendly and more than willing to assist. Stayed to be close to St Lukes Hospital and traveled into city. Convenient to Kings Cross station, restaurants and bars etc.Rooms: 5/5
Arrived, AC not working in room. Moved to another room, AC very weak and comes on and off all night so you are cold, then hot shower leaks all over bathroom. Room is tiny. $200 per night, not good.Rooms: 1/5
Bad experience. Got a room on ground floor be careful! where I could basically hear everything happening in the lobby and reception. Reception staff provides pretty bad service. They don't act friendly on hello and later handled complaint badly. They have no understanding of hospitality and customer service. Look at the way they respond to negative reviews here on Google, they fight with the guest rather than use empathy and good customer service. You don't see this from 5 star hotels hence why this will never be a 5 star hotel. Felt like a hostel, except at least with hostels you will get access to reception 24/7 meanwhile these guys leave the whole building unattended with no support, reception or security from the afternoon till the next morning. Had a cockroach in my room as well, and zero ventilation in the bathrooms. Will never be back.
Was a very comfortable hotel with a big cosy bed. The ensuite was a tad small but also very modern and all very clean! Great location with shops, restaurants, and cafes within walking distance. There is a taxi rank right out the front of you need to travel further. We were very happy with our stay and would gladly come back again.Rooms: 5/5
This room was disgusting and had clearly not been cleaned after the last guest. Upon arrival into the room I found a dirty black t-shirt and black socks on the ground beside the bed. The tv had been left on and was blaring so I thought someone must be in the room. When I pulled back the sheets on the bed there were crumbs and other dirt in the bed. It had obviously just been remade once the last guest left. The floor was dirty with human hair on the carpet. The receptionist told us to park at the kings cross car park and to pay when we checked out the next morning to receive cheaper parking. This was not possible as check out was at 10am however there is no one on reception until 10:30? Which makes no sense. Very disappointed and do not recommend to anyone.
