Well preserved piece of naval history. A larger amount of it is open for exploration with some interesting exhibits set up in the cabins as well.

Simply the best, most visceral, most tactile tour I have ever been on. We happened upon the museum, on a rainy day and got a personal guided tour of the Diamantina from a salty British Naval Vet. His knowledge of the ship and her history, tinged with personal stories of his own naval experience made for an outstanding time. This isnt a day at the museum..this getting to climb around inside a living piece of history....dont think about it...do it.

A uniquely lovely museum that makes up for the limited breadth of its exhibits with the depth of the passion and dedication to their attention to detail. It's a museum to cherish.
