Cold no sky TV, furnishing rundown, Chinese food
Only 2 good things about our stay was the mountain view and the room size. Mini bar fridge didn't work, rusty shower, dusty furniture all over the hotel, under the bed was dirty and unvacuumed, the room had a funny musky smell which we suspect is from the old carpet, slippery gravel on the uphill road on your way to the hotel. For the price we paid, we expected higher standards. It is unfortunate that a great facility with great potential is not being looked after well.
Disgusting, run down 1 star accommodations property! Mold in the refrigerator, dust all over the room. Musty smelly odor. I have dust and mold allergies and my throat started shutting down. We had to leave, I could not spend the night and there was NO ONE to even speak with at 8:30 p.m. The manager had apparently left and not one other person was at the property! It was creepy and abandoned. I honestly have no idea how this has a 4 star rating!!! Everything is old and worn out. Nothing has been updated. No ice machine, no USB ports, old television, restaurant closed. The ONLY good part of the hotel was the view!
Hotel was very nice. Our room was big, a lot of space, and all very clean. Staff were very nice, once I called to check if they have room available, they already turned on the heaters, and prepared the room for us, even before I confirmed the book. Also needed to print a document, and they helped with no charge. Please note the hotel is a bit far for Hamilton downtown but other than that is all good. Recommend.
Bad service, bad communication and an unsealed and unsafe road. This place isn't in Hamilton but it is close to one hour heading out of Hamilton. Be aware as you drive on the unsealed road as you are heading up the hill you may end up coming towards a branch/log that blocks you from reaching your destination. I found that appalling the branch off a tree had fallen onto the road and caused myself and my friend terrified that we were going to move it in the dark. Instead we went back to Hamilton city centre where it was more safer. They don't return or answer your calls or give back refunds whether the road to their accommodation isn't safe. The price is high and I personally wouldn't choose this place, it's definitely not worth your time unless you prefer mountain views and country living. Think and plan before you stay here
Dissappointing is how I would describe it. The reviews on all sites are false, this is substandard, charges plenty & generated towards overnight asian tourists only. Checkin quick, room large, but that's where it ended. Room was dirty with thick layers of dust on skirting boards. Decor horrible & shabby, picture hooks on walls but no pictures, no bed headboards, furnishings old & dated, & obviously budget - unlike the cost of the accomodation. No toilet roll holder so had to put roll on the floor, no hand towel holder so had to hang on door handle, fridge not working so our food went off. Bath towels were tiny oversized hand towels they were thin & horribly scratchy, it was winter & raining but sheets were cold & no electric blanket - thankfully room had a heater. Restaurant was something else: we were the only patrons, no drinks of any kind neither alcoholic or non water dispenser was AWOL, only liquids were self serve warm tea. Menu was an extremely average chinese option nothing else food was average at best, no deserts. The entire stay was definitely an experience, not one we'll repeat.
Great location, big rooms, could do with a bit of a fresh up. Fridges either don't work, or housekeeping turn them off on you mid stay when you have things in them!.
Nobody at reception on our arrival/book in time,then they give us a key for a standard roomwe booked a deluxe then they put us in a deluxe wiich hadnt been clean,dirty sheets & towels on the floor,wont be staying there again,oh & your not allowed food in the rooms!Rooms: 1/5
The run down hotel with a wrecked car in the carpark. Fridge in our room was full of mould and I mean mould. Health authorities should close it Dow nRooms: 1/5
Lovely location up in the hills with beautiful outlook, nice big spacious room and lovely staff BUT cleanliness is very questionable, pubic hairs on bathroom floor, hair gathered in corner of bathroom, shower very grimy in corners and cracks, pillows from cupboard x4 all had been used, hair all over them and the blastered TV wouldn't work!
