High Street Road Animal Hospital is a modern, busy, small animal practice in Melbourne’s south east in Mount Waverley. Mount Waverley is close to the South Eastern Freeway and is around 20-25 minutes from the city.

We treat most companion small animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, mice, rats and birds. We are closely situated to many of Melbourne’s small animal specialists and we have a visiting specialist who can perform ultrasounds here at the Hospital.

Our facilities include radiology, laboratory, dentistry, medicine, surgery, hydrobath and grooming. We also offer puppy preschool classes, a weight loss program and a senior pets program (Golden Paws Club).

These guys have really good hearts.nnOur beautiful Max went in with an ear infection and needing his ears cleaned. Nothing too major but during his procedure they found a small lump on his leg which we had biopsied and returned a nasty result of Sarcoma.nnThe Vets Rachel, Simone and Cynthia over the course of the past few weeks as we have had the operation to remove the tumour, have been nothing short of amazing.nnHis recovery process has been a bit longer than expected due to his Houdini efforts at getting at the wound but I cannot stress enough how supportive and caring this hospital has been through it all.nnMax is on the mend and because of the thoroughness and attention to detail of these vets. We have caught the cancer at grade 1 and had a complete removal of all cancer cells.nnThe nurses are just awesome too! They clearly love what they do and keep you updated with txt messages and photos post op.nnI can’t thank this team enough for all that they have done to get out Maxie back to fighting fit. You guys are the best!n

My family have been using High Street Road Animal Hospital for almost 30 years.nI myself was taking my dog here for some time, however I moved so it was no longer convenient.nStaff her were the best and their service will be missed.

I highly recommend High Street Road Animal Hospital. My cat and I have been going here for the past 8 years and we still travel over 25 mins to see them.nnAll the vets there have been fantastic with my cat over the years, through all the stages of her life and all the issues she has had. They are particularly good with cats.nnWe love Simonne and Nurse Rachel in particularnnAs we reach the end of my cat’s life, now 17, they have been so fantastic in handling us both. You can tell that they really care about their clients, whether they be furry or not.

A lovely clean clinic with super friendly and knowledgeable staff. You can tell immediately upon walking in that everyone here truly cares for animals.nnRecently when my cat had a nasty ear infection, we were able to get in and see Victor at short notice who treated him with the utmost kindness and compassion. My cat is usually pretty nervous when we leave home but I could see he felt quite safe in his care. Victor took the time to talk me through the state of the infection, then thoughtfully administered treatment best suited to the needs of my cat. After a day or so of taking the prescribed medication, my cat was back to his normal self.nnThe nurses even made sure to check in with me as well to see how he was going with the medication.nnIf you’re looking after a vet clinic that will go out of their way to look after your pet, this place is it.nnThank you very much for looking after my boy!
