Story

Hi-Tek Aquariums has been catering to hobbyists’ needs on the Northern Beaches and its surrounds for more than 20 years.
The Crew is passionate about what they do!
We are approachable, knowledgeable and dedicated to helping you achieve your visions. With over 50 years of combined experience anything is possible.
We have over 120 tanks containing freshwater fish and invertebrates, marine fish and invertebrates, coral and aquatic plants. The number of species continues to grow and we will soon be announcing the opening of our new room upstairs.
The brands and products we carry have been refined over the years to give you the best selection for quality, ease of application and affordability.
Our success is relative to your success. When it comes to technical and creative concepts, we enjoy a challenge. However we never lose sight of the practical issues that make the keeping of a species easy and enjoyable. We want it to look amazing but be functional. I love that shop! Most incredible variety of fish , reptiles and aquatic plants. And all the many things we need to take care of our pets.
Hi Tek has just about everything you need for a nice healthy aquarium! The quarantine procedures are there. and sick fish are treated appropriately. The staff are always super friendly as well :D The only gripe is the betta wall is a bit depressing : it's super old school and needs a bit of an update or just to be removed...

Hi-TEK aquariums have always been amazingly helpful. The staff there always take the time to answer any questions that I have. They also made sure that I had the correct water parameters and that the fish I was buying were compatible with the fish that I had. Last thing I would want is dead fish! As well as having a great range of fish, they also have an awesome selection of hardscaping stuff like driftwood etc. The team had some great tips on my aquascaping. My tank is looking great now, and everyone that sees them always comment on how nice they look! Very happy

Became an avid aquarium hobbiest within the last 3 months and am always throughly enjoying my visits to Hi-tech. The whole team is very kind friendly and highly knowledgeable. Amazing selection of exotic fish and beautiful tank set up's to inspire your own creations.

Had a great experience buying a snake from Nathan at Hi-Tek. He was knowledgeable, friendly, enthusiastic and made sure we understood everything we needed to know about our new snakey. We were really impressed with the quality of service. Always a good place to shop. Excellent all round!
So helpful. I know I can give them a call or drop in and they are very willing to give me advice on my little sick fighting fishy. Very knowledgeable and polite. Unfortunately my fishy didn't survive not purchased here but when I'm ready for another will be going here to buy.
