I stayed at this motel as a stopover during a road trip and overall had a pleasant experience. The room was clean, well-kept, and surprisingly spacious. The service was amazing — check-in was quick and hassle-free, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. I also really enjoyed the view toward the water, which added a nice touch to the stay.nnThat said, the room could use some minor updates. There was some mould in the bathroom, and the shower head definitely needs replacing. These small improvements would make a big difference, as the place has a lot of potential to be a fantastic stay. The pillows and mattress were quite soft; while some may prefer that, I personally like a firmer bed.nnDespite the minor issues, I would stay here again. It's a solid option for a short stay, especially if you're passing through.
This place is ok to visit every now and then and has huge potential but is pretty dingy and smells like a nursing home which is fine, but not for a pub.nnThe hedging is too tall in the beer garden, and you can't see the view once you sit down, and it needs a permanent bar open in the beer garden to attract people.
A Night to Remember – 70th Birthday CelebrationnnWe recently hosted a 70th birthday party at the Hervey Bay Hotel and Resort and couldn't be more thrilled with how the evening turned out. With 40 guests in attendance, the entire experience — from the food and service to the accommodation — was simply outstanding.nnA huge thank you to Briena Bee, who led the team with warmth and professionalism. Everything ran smoothly, and her attention to detail made the night effortless for us. Mark and the staff were equally exceptional, ensuring our guests felt welcome and well looked after.nnThe chef delivered a beautiful menu that was enjoyed by all, and a special mention goes to Vicki, our fabulous cocktail queen, who kept the drinks flowing and spirits high!nnMost importantly, our guest of honour, Rod, was absolutely delighted. It truly was a night to remember. Thank you to everyone at Hervey Bay Hotel and Resort — we are so grateful and highly recommend you for any celebration.
Been my local pub for 15 years, went for dinner tonight and never seen such a miserable staff atmosphere there ever..nLady with the link hair in a tangent to find someone that owns a bike... Having a go at my mate as he walks in. All night storming around sour faced and looking pissed off, other lady was clearly in a bad mood to... Security guard with heaps of pericings was absolutely lovely!nFood was fantastic.... Such a shame about the staff.
Pet friendly beer garden, I amnwriting a review to let people know you can bring your dog. We found it hard to work out where we could take our dog while in Hervey bay.nDecent pub food and drinks at reasonable prices.
