Was scheduled to pick up a vehicle at 8:30am. Arrived punctually when I was informed that the car was not ready as it hadn’t been collected from their other location. I waited for over an hour for the car to be delivered and washed. If you plan on picking up car before work, I recommend you to take the day off instead.
Worst experience ever, have rented from Hertz before and never been treated like this, rented a truck and brought it back a few hours late as a miscommunication from the representative. Charged me for a whole extra day, had no remote for lift gate as it was stolen, also tyres had flat tyres on all of them, causing my job to take longer, rude manger who said I am hanging up on you. They didn't notify me of additional charges for an extra driver and just charged me. Called head office and said your fault you should have read the fine print. 1 star is to much need an option for 0!
Called me AT 5:30 when they close telling me my rental car wouldn't be available for THE NEXT MORNING. TOTALLY unacceptable. Couldn't call back, no alternative option was offered.
Nice and clean car to drive, staffs are very friendly.
Not impressed with the car I got. Still abit dirty when I was handed the car.
What a terribly run business! Paid almost $1200 to rent a premium car for a week and the car was dirty inside and out, scratched and in terrible condition. The car was a diesel when it was advertised as being petrol. The staff were rude and unhelpful. Returned the next day to upgrade the car at an additional cost of $300! to hopefully secure a clean car at least and the other car was almost an hour late after the agreed time leaving me late for all of my appointments and work! The manager is particularly unhelpful and I’m very surprised this operation is still running frankly. Don’t waste your time go elsewhere.
Be super careful ever renting a truck from Hertz. They were happy to rip-off the local scout Xmas tree fundraiser by claiming they could squeeze in some extra litres into the fuel tank @ $5 a litre, even though it was totally filled up about 1km before drop-off. Big scam. Rented the same truck from Budget the week before, did everything exactly the same and they were magnificent to deal with. Would definitely recommend using Budget instead of Hertz every time.
Customer Service absolutely disgraceful, very rude staff and specially a guy working there very disrespectful.
I have rented trucks from a number of different rental companies recently and have never before be stung for 'Extra' fuel except at Hertz Moorabbin. even after I showed them a receipt of filling up just 2 kms away from the depot they still charged me $5 a litre for extra fuel. Such a big scam..... so please take this on board and BEWARE.
