Hemingway Cafe

I wish I could’ve sat here all night with my closest friends! My husband and I visited the bar during our stay at the Ritz Paris. The concierge recommended we arrive 15-30 minutes before the bar opened at 6pm. Sure enough, when we arrived a line was already beginning to form. Promptly at 6, we were all welcomed into the bar. The bar itself is a feast for the eyes! So much to take in! The bar menu is a newspaper with entertaining descriptions of the drinks. I had the Serendipity and my husband had the French 75. Both were outstanding. Sadly, after about 30 minutes we had to be whisked away to our dinner reservations. I look forward to another stay at the Ritz Paris and a longer stop at Bar Hemingway.
Absolutely amazing! The experience and the drinks are a great mix! We had one of the specials with mint that oh my god, blew outro minds away! We also tasted a berries drink that made me almost eat the glass!! The waitress was absolutely amazing in every way! She definitely made our experience even greater! Wish I could remember her name, but I can't this was on 7 June at night, first customers
Came here 20 minutes before opening on a Friday night in early December. Quite a line already and given that it’s only 35 seats, we didn’t make it during the first seating at 6. Waited for another hour to come in read: come here early. Drinks were very good. I had a dry martini that was top notch. Pricey though, 35 EUR per drink. Great service and atmosphere though, so definitely worth a visit.
I visited this amazing place only once but I want to come back again. The atmosphere is amazing and all personal are kind and professional As snacks for free on every table are very tasty nuts, 2 kinds of nuts, one of them with truffle taste We ordered Daiquiri and one cocktail with champagne, 4 small hot dogs, actually hot dogs are very good and fresh If you want to find atmosphere of old Paris bar I recommend you to visit this place
Great service, nice staff, amazing experience but .... Waiting is too long sometimes but the experience is worth it! The miss bond drink was good but the dry Martini omg!!!! You get one and it will be enough:
Excellent bar. Very small and not cheap. Manhattan for 34 euro. Worth the experience. Decorations dedicated to hemingway. Cool newspaper style menu. Beautiful bathrooms downstairs
It’s an amazing bar with the drawbacks of being relatively small and very expensive ~34 EUR cocktails. The cocktails are incredible and you’ll be served chips, nuts, and olives while you’re there. As long as you know what you’re getting into when you go in, it’s great. Otherwise a lot of people seem to be very put off by waiting in line to get a table.
Bar Hemingway is a wonderful “little” bar in the Ritz hotel. “Little” is the operative word here: reservations are highly recommended. Enjoy looking at the old books, old typewriters, and memorabilia. Drinks are pricey. Service is top-notch and extremely friendly and attentive.
A unique experience, well worth the hour wait in line. The bar is small and intimate, refined, with a strong sense of place and its own history. The drinks are quite expensive but elegant and delightful. I was deeply pleased they could accommodate my request for a historical cocktail, King's Ruin. I had written about this bar in a book about the occupation of Paris during World War 2. It was a thrill to finally be there and savor the experience with all my senses.
Have always wanted to visit on my trips to Paris, and finally did. It was well worth the wait. Sensational cocktails and superb service. A true delight.
