I've been going to this clinic for almost 30 years now &, as I have chronic illness, I am (sadly) there fairly regularly. As far as professionalism & excellent care go, this is a great clinic. They are genuine, friendly & actually care about finding solutions. To the person complaining about being asked to go back for your results: Speaking from experience, if you've been asked to return for your blood test results, it was probably because there WAS something out of the ordinary but not serious. If it was serious, they would have called when the doctor received the results & asked you to come back at the dr's request & not waited until you called. Also, it's not the job of reception staff to give you specifics.They don't have access to your results & are usually really busy doing their job. They would have been passing on the request for a 2nd appointment. A nurse would usually be the person to advise that all was good if nothing of note showed in tests when you called. I notice you haven't come back to report AFTER your appointment. Was there ACTUALLY a good reason for being asked to return? I'm really not a fan of people who just do reviews to whinge when they don't even have all the information. If it was actually unnecessary for a 2nd appointment, fine, have your say, but you didn't even know yet!

I had a precautionary blood test done and was told it's unlikely to show anything abnormal and the results would just be available over the phone. When I called a few weeks later I was told I have to come in for another appointment - no indication of whether any results were of concern or not. Any reasonable person is happy to book and pay for a second appointment if tests show there is something that needs addressing, but to say the results are available over the phone and then hold test results as ransom for more money from a second appointment is very disappointing.

Had been attending this practice for a long time, however recently have been having quite negative experiences. The nurse from an outside pathology company was very rough when taking a blood test and didn't ask which arm to do it on leading to pain all day in my writing arm. Found one doctor quite patronising when I asked to get what was meant to be an internal stitch cut off my leg post knee-surgery as I was worried about infection. Found some staff very unhelpful and patronising when it came to advice I was seeking/getting results back for blood tests and ultrasound. Could have saved $30 and had test results told to me in an equally insensitive way in a bulk-billed medical centre.
