Brunswick Private Hospital is a comprehensive rehabilitation and general medical facility with extensive outpatient and community based services.

Brunswick Private Hospital accommodates rehabilitation and acute medical beds, beds, over 875sqm of prime leasing space fronting Moreland Road, physiotherapy consulting space, gymnasium, hydrotherapy pool, hyperbaric chamber, co-located imaging; pathology and pharmacy.

In addition to in-patient services, the hospital provides extensive outpatient programs supported by the latest technology and access to allied health services.

Brunswick Private Hospital was acquired in August 2009 by Healthe Care Australia Pty Ltd.

Both private and self-insured patients are welcome at Brunswick Private Hospital. We are a Tier 1 provider of hospital services to the veteran community and we also welcome patients who travel from the country or overseas to have their treatment at our hospital.

Brunswick Private Hospital was a good hospital. My 93yo dad was in for rehab & he left stronger than he came in - a big plus. Sometimes this doesn’t happen at rehab. We’ve had some bad experiences, so we were a bit nervous going in.nnThere were many positives, but a few negatives. I’ll list the positives first, then the negativesnnPositivesn- Staff professional & approachablen- Nurses very helpful & assisted my dad professionally with what he neededn- Physio staff excellent bedside manner & were very good at the physiotherapy rehabilitation. Goals met exceeded our expectations.n- Medical staff were professional & sought to understand medical needs. Put in place sensible changes that were now working through with the GPn- Dietitian was excellent & extremely customer focussedn- OT was excellent & extremely customer focussed. Helped with recommending types of home modifications.n- Food was quite good for hospital foodn- food service staff were friendlynnNegativesn- A lot of Staff don’t return phone calls. I got sick part way through dad’s stay, so this was quite important to me.n- weren’t supposed to get extra coffee during day, but catering staff didn’t follow nutritionist instructions. Was on a restricted fluid intake regime, so this was clinically importantn- Tv was slow to respond and didn’t show common Free to air Channels, such as channel 7 & ABC Newsn- Didn’t properly monitor fluid intake as per doctors recommendationsn- Clothes were managed poorly. Were brought to the hospital neatly arranged in bags. We’re strewn all over the floor of the clothes cupboard within a day. And dirty clothes weren’t separated out, so you couldn’t tell what was clean or dirty. Only when the clothes were soiled were they put in a separate plastic bag. It meant bringing a mix of clean and dirty clothes home to wash & unnecessary washing.n- Puffer -supposed to wash mouth out after due to steroids that can cause fungal infections & other side effects. Didn’t. More training on use of puffers & spacers required.nnAll up a positive experience. Dad really liked the hospital & would definitely return if the need arises.
Brunswick private hospital has been like a second home for me in the last years after having multiple surgeries l have always gone back to Brunswick private for my rehabilitation the nurses are very skilled & caring, the facilities are just fantastic & they have there own Hydro pool to exercise in with the Qualified Physio therapists & the Doctors in here are also very knowledgeable & caring. Great place for recovering.nThanksnCharlie G.
I was admitted to Brunswick Private hospital for rehabilitation post-surgery from the Epworth Hospital, Richmond. I only knew it as the old Vaucluse Hospital, where I worked as a nurse from 1977 to 1992. Comparing the old to this new hospital experience may not be appropriate due to changes that take place in hospitals over time. I have had working experience in many hospitals since to have a fair idea how complex the running of a hospital can be I will have to say that I was impressed with the level of care, the enthusiasm, the friendliness and the caring nature of the many staff in the variety of disciplines that included teams of Allied Health care staff. Mostly I saw through the routine of the ward I was on that it ran like clockwork, and the hospital management like a well oiled machine. there were many Specialists rehabilitation doctors that came daily and as required The ward and the hospital was well staffed and it was easy to get assistance when needed. Experienced physiotherapists were plentiful and there were more than five exercise areas dedicated to rehabilitation with all the necessary equipment for the various exercises that rehabilitation needs. There are just so many more positives I could add, but I am not writing an article for accreditation. Thanking all the staff of Brunswick Hospital, regards, Randhir Dhillon

This is my third time being admitted to Brunswick for my mental health, and the care I receive here is truly exceptional. The hospital provides comprehensive care that addresses both my mental and physical health. The staff in the pathology unit are very friendly, and all the doctors/Psychiatrist show a genuine concern for my overall well-being.nThe nurses are wonderful, with a special mention for the manager, Jag, who is always making improvements and is genuinely caring during the admission process. Nurse Diamond is also a standout—she's so caring that she even called to check in on me after my previous admissions.nI'm also incredibly grateful for my psychiatrist, Dr. Greg, who is very understanding and an excellent practitioner.nI'm very thankful for the high quality of care I've received at Brunswick.
