Story

The Hallam Hotel was established in 1872 and is situated approximately 40 kms south-east from Melbourne's C.B.D. (About half an hour travelling off-peak on the M1). We offer friendly bistro dining, TAB/sports bar, private function rooms, BWS drivethough bottleshop and a broad and eclectic range of entertainment.

Recent awards that the venue has won include the 2009 AHA National Award for Best Marketed Venue, the 2008 AHA State Award for Best Entertainment Venue and as well as the 2008 AHA State Award for Best Marketed Venue.

I had the pleasure of dining at the Hallam Hotel recently, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome with their warm and attentive service. However, the true highlight of the evening was the outstanding tomahawk steak, which exceeded all expectations.nnThe chef's skill and passion for cooking were evident in every bite. The steak was cooked to absolute perfection – tender, juicy, and bursting with rich, flavorful goodness. The presentation was impressive, and it was clear that great care had been taken to ensure a top-tier dining experience. The seasoning and the char on the steak were impeccable, showcasing the chef's attention to detail and mastery of the grill.nnI must also commend the chef for their professionalism and friendly demeanor, which made the entire meal even more enjoyable.nnI can’t wait to return for another incredible meal, especially that amazing tomahawk steak! Highly recommended!

We had our daughters 21st in the function room. Went extremely well staff were very friendly food was absolutely delicious. The function team are both but professional. Easy great night.. highly recommended

I had a memorable dinner date at the place this weekend. The decor of the place is real classy and feels quite upscale.nWe started off with cocktails customised to our liking by the ever so friendly bar staff.nnThe menu is quite extensive with a lot of  carefully curated fusion style recipes.nWe choose  the Mexican mix and the chicken mingnon. The succulent cooked meats  in the  Mexican mix were great mingled with authentic mexican flavours. It really shows the Chef’s creativity.nnThe chicken mingnon was a mild tasting dish full of flavours. The chicken and vegetables were cooked to perfection. My partner loved the presentation of this dish and couldn’t stop posting its pictures. The meticulous detail that the chef had gone through is really commendable.nnWith great ambience, wonderful staff and exceptional food this place is our new favourite and we are looking forward to go there again and try out their other dishes.

Always get a great pub experience . The steaks are made into perfection.also so many mouth watering dishes to select . Well done all the  chefs... I tried almost every dishes so yummy and quality  is really good compare to other places.  Good portion size.Great value for  the money.

Allan at the Sports Bar was absolutely fantastic! He was friendly, helpful, caring, funny and went the extra 5 miles to make us comfortable and special. He is an asset to this organization!!! My friend Joanne and  I enjoyed the food and Allan’s hospitality was the highlight. Thank-you. Elizabeth.
