Love shopping at a place where staff know what they are talking about. Purchased a few rifles and shot guns here and have never been disappointed. The advice is always sound, the price is reasonable and stock is up to date. One of my favourite places.

bought a box of radians ear plugs that were defective, wasn't sure if it was the way i mixed them, contacted radians head office and bought another two boxes the same colour as the last one and a new colour and the same box was defective twice even mixing it correctly, damien (manager) had a nice conversation over the phone about replacing them or refunding them in the end I sent in two photos of my receipt and the defective product and nothing came of it, Damien won't back his product - I would imagine that he is the same on bigger products ended up spending $120 the other colour of radians ear plugs worked - would like another box for free and $40 refund looks like that isn't happening lol this shop is a joke

Absolute rubbish service and I'm being kind. Asked the guys for a quote to get a suppressor fitted. You could just see the disinterest (and don't get me started on the lack of knowledge). Talked about pillar bedding a rifle and floating a barrel, thought the guy's head would explode. He went to ask for advice and came back none the wiser. Bottomline, if it's not ready to go through the till, they couldn't care less. Still waiting for your call gun city, get yourselves sorted. To potential customers, do yourselves a favour and shop around. Gun City might be the biggest but you'll find the guys at Serious Shooters down the road much more helpful.

In February this year I purchased a brand new Zeiss Conquest HD5 3-15x42 T LOCK PLEX scope from Gun City in Auckland. Several days later I noticed that the screw on the elevation turret was slightly burred and was missing some paint. Clearly some one had removed the turret at some point. I returned the scope to Gun City for replacement. One week later on contacting them I was told that a new turret screw only had been ordered. I reluctantly accepted this and picked up the scope but have had no further communication from Gun City. I now see on the internet that Gun City sell second hand scopes and hope that I have not been sold a second hand scope. Very disappointing. Friday March 9, 1130 hours Thank you for your prompt response however despite repeated telephone calls leaving my name and number each time no one from Gun City has not had the courtesy to call me back - hence the disappointment and one star rating . When I received no response from Gun City I emailed both the local Zeiss Distributors and Zeiss themselves and have received a prompt response. They are bringing in a replacement turret elevation screw for me and offered assistance with the replacement and any other issues associated with this purchase. Maybe there's a lesson here for you in terms of communication and customer service. As an avid hunter and reloader I will think long and hard before dealing with Gun City again.
