A hidden treasure of a park that contains a range of features; 20,000 lava flows designated Significant Ecological Area, and manicured hi-tech sports field, playground, basketball court, flying fox... Subtly nestled amongst our urban environment, I find this park a peaceful spot to relax and recharge surrounded by the sounds of nature.
The children's playground provides good entertainment but the field that used to be open to the community gets closed every year because the Auckland Council arbitrarily decided the field can only be used during the rugby season
Love this little local park. Take my little girl on the swings and she loves it. Awesome zip line for the older kids as well as slides.
Great place for Kid's of all ages, the park has everything even a flying fox and a small library, the latter is an exchange box. Plenty of seating for the adults, car parking is never an issue and there's a public convenience. The only thing missing is a water feature of some sort for the kid's, during the summer the park is never full
A very nicely designed playground but please be careful as there are often many off leash dogs wondering around on the playground. It almost feels like a dog park instead of children playground sometimes.
wow i was amazed with this place. was our first time here and the kids and i loved it. bbq and hygiene facilities incl it was awesome. followed by the old park above the new one they have done an exceptional job. thankyou council for making this work
Sometimes there's students here, I think they are having the physical education or sport class here. This place is also good for family,
Great park to bring your kids or yourself to. Lots of space to play around or have a outdoor gathering, public bathrooms are pretty clean too Hasn't changed a bit since I was coming here as a kid
A great place for the family with large area, playground, picnic tables and conveniences. Plenty of parking.
