Story

Goodna Discount Drug Store has been a part of the local community since the mid 1980s. Originally a Greenspot pharmacy, then a Chemworld pharmacy, the Discount Drug Store brand was taken on in 2009.

At Goodna Discount Drug Store we pride ourselves on being part of the Goodna community and take an active role in the health of our customers.

We regularly hold expos, and events to focus on particular issues, and conditions. We also participate in many fundraising campaigns to assist local and national groups, primarily those which are involved with healthcare research.

Our staff undergo rigorous and ongoing training to ensure that they are up to date with health conditions and products that are used to treat them. Our Pharmacists are always available to consult with our customers.

Considering there are so many pharmacers work there they have the slowest service ever. Wouldn’t recommend going there if you’re in a hurry or wanting good service.

The staff at this pharmacy was a great score of assistance and compassion as I cared for my daughter,  who left this life in 2014, and my husband, who left this life in 2021. I was so grateful for all their compassion and care during the most difficult times of my life.

One of the worsts pharmacy I've ever been in. Nobody knows what they're doing there.

This used to be my go to pharmacy.  Now I don’t like how this person is treating me just coz she didn’t understand what I was saying to her about leaving my script with them in a way that she wanted to hear. I said nothing and left but I was disgusted with her behaviour. Today, I came to get my prescription meds. While I was talking to the cashier at the front counter about labelling, she murmured something to her. I glanced at her as I left and saw her looks as if looks could kill.  I was really annoyed with such behaviour and I am definitely changing pharmacy as I don’t like to see her face. This lady should realise that she comes from another background, too, to have to act like that. Disgusting!

This has been my go to pharmacy for 5 years, all the staff are friendly and really helpful, they offer similar products at cheaper prices and their knowledge of health supplements are brilliant. There are always specials and great gift ideas. And the Pharmacists are happy to get a special order in for you quickly and give any advice on your prescriptions. Wendy Warwick

Waiting time is terrible and their service. Went in on a Friday to order Baby formula for my son and got told to pick it up on Saturday. But when I  went in on Saturday, I got told that the girl that placed my order didn’t press the send button, so they just resend the order and pickup on Monday. I was so upset because my son is on his last tin of formula which it won’t last until Monday. So she rang around to find a chemist that has them in stock and found chemist warehouse has them. When we turned up to chemist warehouse, they couldn’t sell it to us under the prescription, which we had to pay $80 for baby formula  This is not the first time I had a problem with this chemist. Ones I pickup my son’s formula on Monday, will definitely not be going there anymore

The staff at Goodna Discount Drug Store are wonderful. They are always so helpful and do not try to sell you items you do not need. They are always happy to give advice. I won’t go anywhere else .

Poor quality assurance in labeling of Webster packs for elderly patients. Pharmacist thinks scribbled dates in small, pen written  handwriting on each pack is good enough. They couldn't figure out how to print in font size larger than 10pt and kept arguing "that's good enough"! My elderly father father needed four packs of meds for one month supply and they also couldn't figure out how to print the labels pack 1 of 4, 2 of 4, 3 of 4, 4 of 4 so that the patient and carers could keep track of which meds pack he was on and when it was time to re-order. Argumentative and uncaring pharmacist, and lazy sales staff who couldn't even figure out how to fix the printing problem so the pharmacist didn't have to! Would NOT recommend Goodna Discount Pharmacy if quality and attention to detail is required for the administration of complicated heart medicines!

Product range is good and staff are nice enough. If you're buying over the counter products, have them price match the competition. The shelf price on some of the items I've purchased has been near 70% greater than the competition and up to 10% more than RRP. Nothing 'discount' about that.
