I discovered a diverse range items at the Sunday 'Discovery Market'. This is a morning market open 6am till midday with easy parking for $4 and its easy to find as it is very well signed. There's coffee and many breakfast options, lots of food stalls including, Japanese, Greek, Malaysian, Thai, Korean, Hungarian, among others. The general stalls offer a huge array of plants at great prices, along with clothing, crafts, tools, gifts, pet gear, phone gear, and things you might expect to find at a garage sale. This is an outdoor market, which is good for covid safety, and the majority of stalls are undercover.
Huge variety of food stalls and good value fresh produce. Make it a weekly outing. It’s also family friendly.
Really nothing special. Quality is generally ok but the prices are by no means worth the trip. It's really just a giant hall where you pay for the privilege of shopping. Much better local markets all over Brisbane, don't waste your time and money here.
Arguably the best weekend market in Brisbane with many types of produce and goods offered. Great food stalls too. Try the Authentic Turkish Bakery
Is it cheapest? I don’t think so, Woodbridge is more economical, but is it close to city, catering for Brisbane city people needs. lots of veggies, Plants, food stalls, coffee, Cheese, Wet-market and other shops like home decors. worth a visit, Need to pay 1$ for person. Most shops accept card but not all of them. Have some cash in hand otherwise Movable ATMs are there. Parking is in the Brisbane market and it is free.
My go to for a Saturday morning. Best pastries from Sprout and array of mushrooms and produce.
Rocklea markets are open good, lots of produce to choose from and a decent selection of other vendors. Plenty of different types of food to choose from if you're after a feed. Get in early if you want a good park. Won't return regularly as it's a little far to travel and I can get pretty much the same at the Sunday Cleveland markets.
So sad it isn’t the same as it used to be, being inside the piazza makes you feel over crowded and many marketeers are absent. Sad to see the Sunday market has not returned, wish it was the incredible morning out that it used to be. There is still an ample variety of fruit and veg but nothing much more than that. The sit down food area no longer has the atmosphere it used to across the road.
Fresh market is my favourite. Like the name, everything there is so FRESH with such a great price. Love the cheery mountain before ChristmasAlso don’t forget to bring some flowers home Street food there is nice as well. It would be better if I can find more seafood.
Terrible quality and overpriced. Most produce is being sold at higher prices than Woolies despite being way worse quality. I doubt these vendors are farmers. They seem more like third party middle men who buy rejected produce from farmers for pocket change and then on sell to the wider public at much inflated prices here at Saturday markets. Avoid!
