We had a wonderful week at the Golden Riviera. The location was perfect - literally on the sand of Tugun Beach (which was spectacular) and within a short walk to all conveniences. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the room was clean, tidy and extremely comfortable. Resort amenities were great and the grounds picturesque. A wonderful intimate private boutique resort feel. I will definitely return!

Being a beachfront hotel and close to great Cafe's made it a great location. The room we stayed in was closest to the highway which made it quite noisy even with the double glazed windows. The airport is close and the planes fly quite low over which was also pretty loud. The lights from the highway/main road came straight into the main bedroom, we had to hang a blanket over the main room window to reduce the light so we could sleep but that was an easy fix. The bed was very firm which made for uncomfortable nights sleep for us. There was aircon in the room but no fans, if the aircon wasn't on the apartment was pretty hot even with all of the windows/balcony door open as there wasn't great airflow where the room was situated in the resort. The apartment was a good size as were the bathrooms, nice and clean, the couch was really comfortable and having the beach directly out the front was great. If we stayed again we would only stay beachfront and I'd bring a mattress topper or an extra extra thick blanket to make the bed a little more comfortable.

Just spent a long weekend catching up with friends and staying at the Golden Riviera. What a spot - right on the beach with cafes, bars and the Surf Life Saving club all within a short walking distance... couldn't have been better. Our room was spotlessly clean as was the whole resort. Great BBQ areas and a large swimming pool which we put to good use. Would we recommend - hell yes and more importantly, we'll be back.

The facilities are lovely however I can’t rate higher than 1 Star. We booked a ground floor unit (having a baby and toddler), clearly specifying this request on the booking. Again, prior to making the payment, we called to confirm this arrangement and were told by a man that it wouldn’t be a problem. Upon arrival, we were handed our key and told our room was on the “middle floor” “an easy walk up one flight of stairs”... we carried two children, two large suitcases, a pram etc up what turned out to be 3 flights of stairs from the car park. I feel we were mislead. I’d love to stay here again but just couldn’t trust that we would get what we paid for. Despite double glazing, the bedrooms next to the highway/road are quite noisy.
