Story

The AUD $167 million Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre (GCCEC) offers the ultimate event experience. Australia's largest regional convention centre is a sophisticated building that cultivates enterprise and embodies the prestige and confidence of a destination that is the leisure capital of Australia.

The Centre is purpose designed and exclusive in size. The Arena seats 6,000 while the centre can cater for 10 to 6,000 guest and banquets for up to 3,500 delegates.

GCCEC boasts 6,345m2 of divisible exhibition hall space and 10,000m2 of total exhibition space across the ground floor as well as 22 meeting rooms and a 40m2 dedicated event planner office space with a registration and reception area.

Been to this Convention Centre 8 times over 8 years since 2011 for the Gold Coast Marathon, and have been impressed each and every time! It is so spacious which is perfect for a race expo like this world class event. Conveniently located just beside Broadbeach South G:Link tram station which is fantastic. Thank you!

Ticks many boxes in the ideal conference venue space. Easy to get to, lots of accommodation nearby, can do conference dinner at the venue, good price point. Best aspect is the steeply raked auditorium space though. Gives the theatre / sports venue vibe and makes audience feel close to stage. So much better than other flatter venues that are around. Main disadvantage is the airport being nearly an hours drive away, not helped by the ongoing roadworks with the new tram system going in. Maybe once that’s working it’ll be an upgrade but at the moment it’s a bit of a pain.

Easy to get there, staff very helpful. Seats very comfortable. Great venue to watch UB40

Attended the 2024 Cotton Conference in August. Great venue well attended. Excellent catering and good facilities.

Not a bad spot for a concert/gig, but i have say like some others that seating at a rock concert....mmm, very controlled and a little stiff. I think some standing areas would have been good, even for Cold chisel. took quite a few songs to get the crowd going.nAnd also on the back of some other comments , $15 a can omg??? just wow. Anyway. get em into you before you arrive.nHad good seats, on the entrance way in, up against the railing, clear view to the stage.
