Story

The AUD $167 million Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre (GCCEC) offers the ultimate event experience. Australia's largest regional convention centre is a sophisticated building that cultivates enterprise and embodies the prestige and confidence of a destination that is the leisure capital of Australia.

The Centre is purpose designed and exclusive in size. The Arena seats 6,000 while the centre can cater for 10 to 6,000 guest and banquets for up to 3,500 delegates.

GCCEC boasts 6,345m2 of divisible exhibition hall space and 10,000m2 of total exhibition space across the ground floor as well as 22 meeting rooms and a 40m2 dedicated event planner office space with a registration and reception area.

As a former stage hand/ light and sound tech in high school 20+ years ago and a current photographer. This place had a great set up for my sons graduation.nnThe lighting and stage made me wish I could get some back stage photos some time. In the mean time it was good seeing another photographer work as I am only just in my first year setting up as a professional. The unique lighting was great to test.
Came on invitation of my lovely daughter for her medical sonography presentation - and to help with her prep. Place was huge with large presentation and session rooms, perfect for exhibits and conventions. Two floor low rise building lessens strain of climbing multiple floors. Near mid and high end hotels, and lots of food shops. Accessible to public transport - trams and buses largely running on time. Of course a few minutes to Gold Coast beach.
Pretty good convention and exhibition hall. Visited there to collect race pack for Gold Coast Marathon. Big but lack of surrounding merchants.
Great facilities. Ample parking and reasonably priced if you're there all day.nLove the arena seating!
Arenas were well fitted and kept at a very comfortable temperature. Stage lighting was odd, kept sweeping the audience which is distracting when it hits the eyes. Come time to leave the car park is an absolute nightmare - gridlocked in every direction. Needs an additional exit or two & maybe some parking attendants to manage the flow.
