On saturday i witnessed a staff member of Indian background make an inappropriate and disrespectful comment to a customer by stating, “You don’t look Indian.” The comment was made publicly and was clearly audible to others nearby.nThe lady responded calmly, firm and appropriately by asking, “What does an Anglo-Indian look like?” She also reminded the staff member that Australia is a multicultural society and that many people are of mixed cultural backgrounds.nIt was evident that the lady felt embarrassed and distressed by the comment, and I genuinely felt sorry for her, as the situation appeared unnecessary and avoidable.nThe staff member’s remark came across as insensitive and inappropriate in a customer service setting.nAs someone who witnessed this interaction, I believe it is important that staff avoid making assumptions or personal remarks about customers’ appearance or background.
Staff showed us the options for what we wanted- hand held blower - about costs, batteries, weight, power etc. We got to try the tools out too. This knowledge and service is rare to find in the large hardware stores.
I love the variety in the native section of the plants. Staff are always helpful and I find it easy to navigate around the store for the items I want. I have recommended Mitre 10 Glynde to lots of my friends.
excellent customer service ,knowledgeable sales team , family feeling, everything is easy to find and the check out team are friendlynYou get the feeling that this is like a community store - everything is done with a smile and the prices are very competitive .nI like their garden centre because the staff who work there are very willing to give helpful advice
Great range of products and great prices. Store extremely clean and tidy. Very easy to find what you're looking for. Very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended
