Don't send your kids here. In my experience this is a horrible school. I have been here since year 7 and I've been here long enough to know that this school is trash. The Glen Eira five is literally a joke. Our school motto 'make learning you focus' is also a joke. How are we meant to make learning our focus when we can't relieve ourselves in the toilets due to toilets being locked, teacher going into the toilets and spying on us making us uncomfortable and the disgusting conditions of the toilets. Half the air conditioners in the school pretty much don't work, there is a waterfall coming out of some of them when they are turned on. Projectors and speakers don't work. Many students have issues with the internet and their Chromebooks which can largely affect learning as online tasks cannot be completed. Many parts of the school are in need of repair, the stairs are kinda falling apart for a start. A lot of good teachers we had have left the school. Issues or concerns brought up to administration at the school are unfortunately not taken seriously and little is done to solve the issues. Student voice is not really valued or listened to here, decisions are made without properly listening to and considering the students to see if what the administration wants is an appropriate measure to be put in place. The school cares more about what uniform you are wearing than your learning. They will take you out of class if you are wearing the wrong uniform. For example; Wearing white socks instead of black socks. There are also a bunch of soulless teachers here who do not give a damn about what you're going through. Some of them make you cry or angry, but you have no power in these situations. Reports made against teachers are usually brushed aside. I don't think I would've even been able to pass previous year levels or classes without tutors. No matter how many pretty posters they put up or how they sugarcoat things, the bad side of Glen Eira College can always be seen seeping through. Yes, there are some good teachers, and yes there have been some good atar results from students at Glen Eira but this does not reflect the school as a whole. A lot of students struggle here. I urge you to thoroughly investigate the schools in which you are considering sending your children to. All of the above is true from my experiences, of many other students and some teachers who of which I have talked about issues regarding the school. These facts don't lie. So I ask you again, don't send your kids here.
At Glen Eira, our VCE students are prioritised. Year 11s and 12s get the smallest lockers to help support them in these difficult years of studies. They're so small that you can't even fit your own school bags in them properly.
Big ups to the teachers at glen Eira who recognise my name. You know if I liked you. Regardless had a bad time at this school tho ey. Dropped out year 10 now I’m finessing thhell outta these bandz. Richa than yu on gawd.
Great teachers, but their curriculum is a bit slow compared to other schools. If I had to be honest though, the IT department is either understaffed , busy or just plain lazy. I’ve been at this school for 3 weeks now, yet they haven’t set up my EP, XUNO, google classroom and my Gmail/school account. They’ve also made me late for a test because they put year 7 instead of year 8 in the system, making me unable to do the test for 10 minutes because of an invalid code. Additionally the consequence of me not being able to log in into my accounts has also debilitated my ability to revise for my tests. Overall I’m mildly disappointed

I left this school after year 8, I'm now 20 years old and was wondering if this school have changed, sadly not. Till this day, I still remember what Ms Maniatis did to me that led me to cry in front of her, that is not normal, I was only a kid who wasn't that confident in English and had anxiety issues, I was hoping she would understand that but all she said was "we all going through the same thing". I apologise that I always tried to skip your class but obviously that should tell you how your students views you. The only good thing came out of her class is the books we've read in class, I’m still re-reading them till this day.

The best school ever
Good school 'sorta' Mrs harper is so bad she is to strict she's an awful teacher makes me want to move schools. She cares about uniform more then teaching says shoes that are runners don't fit the uniform even though you are allowed to wear any shoes when you have sport overall she's a garbage teacher she's an egotist and needs to get her priority's straight Basically if she wasn't a teacher 5/5 stars but cause she is teaching 1/5 would rate 0/5 but not an option.
Sending your children here could be bad for them in future
