Front Beach Cafe

The food was amazing and the service was good but we did have to flag the staff over a few times. Wasn't hard to do though and the food was well worth the wait. I had the Crispy Skin Chicken and it was delicious. The skin really was crispy not fried and the meat was juicy. It was paired wonderfully with a leek puree and some carrots and brussel sprouts. It was excellent!! My mum had a salad of some sort and she thoroughly enjoyed it too. We were so impressed that we came back for gnocchi night which was great too! We will definitely be coming here whenever we visit Torquay! Kid-friendliness: They have some large tables available with benches which are great for families or large groups.

My server was super friendly and on the ball. Wide range of Gin and different tonics. Had to try a couple. I had the mussels and squid. Both were very tasty. It wasn’t too crowded and the food was fresh.

The way the food was displayed is mouth watering. After tasting the sauce, it blew our mind away!!! We ordered 3 different dishes and all these 3 dishes have different taste and all are mind blowing experiences to us. Must try all 3 dishes to experience it. Take a look at the dishes after we finished the food. Wanted to lick the plate clean but due to our image. We forego the ideal.

Came in with a group of 11 for dinner on a public holiday. When we called they gave us two options either for 2:30pm or 5pm. We took the 5pm but when we turned up they told us the booking was made for 6:30. Few minutes later they made some room for us. They delivered us wrong drinks and food. Sometimes they even didn’t know what they were serving. After sometime a friend complained about her bacon on her burger. Which she requested without bacon and they literally just removed it and returned to our table.After talking to the waiter again the she organised a new one. I liked the pasta. Others found it to oily. The chips are bad, neither by them self or as a side dish with fishnchips. I told the waiter and she responded that she likes them. Great costumer service. Wouldn’t walk in there again They also charge 20% surcharge for public holiday. I usually would expect better costumer service than what I have seen that evening

Had a lovely breakfast this morning. The wait staff were amazing throughout and very friendly. The coffee is divine and really well made. The food was incredible. I had the Frontbeach Breakfast and the eggs were perfectly poached. Would highly recommend going here is you are in town.

Mussels were superrrr good! They were soft n fresh and it wasn't chewy n tough. The sauce was a little spicy for me as I'm unable to take spicy food.

Most of the dishes were great. Service had to be called a few times as described elsewhere. “King prawn & scallop” pasta…did not quite live up to the name for the price the scallop was size of a caper….

As the name suggests this restaurant is on the Esplanade opposite the front beach in Torquay. Pleasant ambience with views of the beach and nice menu selection. Paella was delicious as was the seafood linguini. Good coffees and friendly staff.

Food is really good! Beautiful view. Friendly staff. Clean and modern restaurant. Some weekends have live music. Kitchen is opened most time of the day. Very lovely place to go in Torquay. Highly recommended!!
