Came for dinner on Friday night around 6.30pm. We were worried that we did not have booking but luckily for us, the restaurant was not busy during winter months so we could easily get a table.nWe ordered seafood chowder, catch of the day duck fish and calamari as entree.nFood was served in a reasonable timeframe. Seafood chowder was nice and creamy with lots and lots of chunks of seafood so it was great. We could not even finish the seafood chowder as the portion was quite big.nCatch of the day duck fish tasted great too. It was fresh and great seasoning.nCalamari entree was cooked just enough so it was not chewy with beautiful salad and yummy dressing.nWe were so full but of course we could not say no to dessert. We ordered sticky date pudding to share. So glad that we did. The pudding was soft, airy but yet rich in flavour. It was perfection!nStaff was friendly, professional and very attentive that checked in with us on how everything was going throughout the dinner.nWe would definitely be back if we stop by Lake Entrance again.
Fabulous food service and atmosphere.nMulled wine to warm us up on a brisk night and a beautiful fruit dessert after our lovey fish meals. A local hot spot for sure
Lake Entrance offers a lot of easy going eateries but Sea shanty is a real restaurant.. a place where fresh food is prepared in a way to satisfy all of one’s taste buds. The vines offered are a good range of local and international vines. Frauke Chef of kitchen is doing an amazing job and her fresh salads are outstanding!! Reservation is recommended
Most enjoyable oysters Kirkpatrick followed by fish and chips. Yummo. Fat beer batter chips and two huge pieces of fish, with yummy mayo-based tartare. Freshest of salad too. Also really nice Mocktails with a retro feel. Will go back.
Restaurant was empty when we arrived. Soon all the tables were filled with customers. Service was attentive and friendly.nFood came quickly as we were the first to order.nSeafood chowder was very tasty and portion was big.nPasta was great too, kids loved it.nDefinitely one of the best restaurant in Lakes Entrance.
