Cured meats platter which we ordered along side focaccia was mainly bread itself. This use to be a respectable amount of meat for the price. Pizza was undercooked and was hard to digest. Was not worth the price per head we paid.
The good news is that this is a nice little Italian market! I was very surprised to see they carry the amazing bread from Iggy's bakery! The bad news was going for lunch and finding they don't serve pizza until 3pm. That was disappointing, but we looked forward to some lasagna instead. They were out of lasagna. We were out of patience and left.
Friendly staff and always crowded. We had a really good experience at Fratelli Fresh. Though it was crowded even for a Tuesday night, it was worth the 1 hour wait at the bar. The portions were very generous and the prices very reasonable. We shared a Margarita pizza and a pasta dish each and couldn't fit in Dessert. All in all a good place to have a casual dinner with friends in the CBD.
This restaurant is my favourite in Sydney - intimate, delicious and with great staff. I have finally tried the pizza and truly think its the best pizza in Sydney. Which says a lot. I'm almost reluctant to write a review because I want to guarantee a seat for myself every time.
Overrated and overpriced! People raving about this fast food chain obviously never had GREAT Italian food, you can't make up for lack of flavor with enormous portions! Just give me less pasta but make sure the sauce is tasty. Beer and wine also extremely overpriced! The service is way too casual considering the prices they charge.
Food was really good. We ordered meatballs which were massive. The pasta is also very fresh. We loved the atmosphere and the service. The only downside is probably the waiting. We needed to wait 15 mins for lunch. That was quite a bit of time for lunch time break.
I've eaten here twice and the food has been good both times. I can recommend the zucchini flowers, ragu bolognese and the meatballs. Nice location to eat, either out on the terrace where you can people watch or inside amongst the food shoppers. Service was a little slow / chaotic both times and more recently there were items on our bill which we hadn't ordered. Otherwise, highly recommended!
Yes! If you love basic Italian this is a must visit. Simple, fresh and fast. It's the kind of place to host a fun dinner with 4-6 mates. Usually no need to make a booking - although you can now.
Delicious antipasti and mains accompanied with Italian prosecco
So disappointed. We wanted to have a nice dinner for my partners birthday and we got the lamb ragu tiny portion, bland. Seafood linguine bland with few prawns. And the lobster pizza. What lobster? Dry herbs too? Really.... For your prices your food is rubbish. Our pizza base was burnt too. Very disappointed.
