I had lunch here once and thought it was okay, so I decided to bring my mum here for lunch. When I asked which steak we should order the tbone or the sirloin, because we wanted the softer/ less chewy option, the lady who took the order seemed annoyed and said it depended on us, which didn’t help. We quickly ordered both steaks, the seafood basket and the chicken corn soup, just to try. The seafood basket was overcooked, there was no sauce either. There were a few pieces of frozen seafood which were tasteless. The steaks were similar, plus very chewy. The chicken corn soup was the only thing I thought was okay, but then when we asked for another bowl to share, they gave us a dirty deep plate with tiny pieces of food on it. I asked to change to another one, and the lady brought another deep plate with dirty oily marks on it. I showed it to her and she said, “it looks okay”. I had to clean the plate again with tissue, but it was hard to enjoy the food anymore when you know the plate was dirty. I wont come back.
I love it here, the tables are always quickly cleaned. The prices are way too good, and the steak i usually get is cooked properly. This is now my favourite place to eat
The real negative is the loo. It's out the back so you get wet if it's raining. The worst thing is there's nowhere to wash your hands!! Otherwise it's a good little cafe for people watching while eating their very nice all day breakfast. Staff and regulars are always friendly.Food: 4/5
I sometimes have a toasted egg and bacon sandwich there. Unlike other cafes where they use a sandwich-maker that flattens the bread and filling yuk!, the Froth chefs makes proper delicious toasted sandwiches.
Visiting Sydney and found this breakfast treasure. $6 egg and bacon brekky, huge and delicious and fantastic coffee! Look8ng forward to breakfast here tomorrow!
Great food at the best price with friendly staff. I had a steak with chips and vegetables for $11.90. The steak was perfectly cooked. The veges were not the most amazing but still fine for the price. Having the dishwashing station in the middle of the cafe isn’t the best as it’s quite noisy. Overall I’d recommend this place for some cheap, delicious food.
Quick service, good food, reasonable price. Gluten free bread for breakfast is a winner
Very good customer service and nice cheap food : if i visit sydney again i will visit here againFood: 5/5
An old-style coffee shop like they used to be in the Cross. I've been going here for years and have never had grounds for complaint. Coffee is really, really good. I recommend you pay Froth a visit, sit on the footpath and enjoy the ambiance of the Cross.
