The restaurant was dark and dusty, as seen on the plates and wine glasses. We were seated right next to an open drain that in my opinion should be more covered up. From a flavour point of view, the food was generally ok, but not outstanding. The prices were also a bit high if you are not there on a 50% off deal.
Great food. Menu is bit on the expensive side. I usually dine here when there's a promotion going on which then makes the food really good value. A big shame the menu changed and the steak now comes with chips instead of vegetables. I really enjoy the wagyu rump steak nonetheless. Also, I strongly recommend the Calamari Fritti as the entree to have.
I'll start with table service could of been alot better. Really good quality for the price. We had the canelloni and a pesto white base pizza. Both were delicious. The service could have been better since there was a big service fee but it was Sunday midday and seemed to be understaffed so for the benefit of the doubt because I work in hospitality. The server was really nice in the end. Overall I would come back to try more of the exciting menu. Maybe try one of their other venues as there seems to be a few reviews mentioning poor table service and time management for food.
Understaffed, almost impossible to get the attention of wait staff. Only way to get service is to walk up to the kitchen and ask kitchen staff for assistance. Flavours of the food were very tasty but if you are going to call yourself Fratelli Fresh perhaps you should serve fresh pasta too. Would have giving more stars if the pasta was fresh
Nice place. Fire cooked pizza and superb pasta. The pizza capricciosa and the Margarita were delicious. The spaghetti with seafood was also good. The service could be improved. It took a while to order, but it's holiday season.
Service: Average. Booked a table for 4, people arrived at different times were lead to different tables. It was s struggle to get any attention for service, had to literally walk to the bar area to ask to be serviced. One fork was missing from the table, after requesting it and waited until all food arrived, friend had no choice but to get up and get a fork herself. Confusion on almost every order. Cancelled a fizzy drink and replaced it with a glass of wine, but fizzy drink came anyway. Took two staff, multiple conversations with us as well as themselves to understand that we want to add one entree, not to cancel all the mains... Food: disappointing. Went for the Ragu, rather disappointed. The lamb ragu flavour itself was nice, but pasta undercooked, NOT al dente, undercooked. Beef Ragu pasta cooked nicely, but beef cheek has no flavour. Fried polenta was completely tasteless, the cheese sauce on top didn't help adding much flavour. Portion was so small, 4 girls had to go to McDonald's for burger and fries after $130 dinner. Restaurant atmosphere was good, maybe too big for the amount of staff? Didn't have the heart to tell staff the truth in the end when they asked how is everything, didn't want to spend half a night trying to explain since they seem to be trying their best and it was already a struggle to place an order of 4 Ragu dish with one entree.
great pizzas and nice cosy and casual vibe. family / kid friendly, also good for groups. they also run happy hour specials -- $5 for select drinks and $5 for select pizzas, totally worth trying out.
Visited Fratelli Fresh Alexandria for lunch today with my sister. We were greeted straight away and were seated within 5 minutes. Excellent table service with the attentiveness of Christian and Sam, who were quick to take our orders and brought our very tasty antipasti and pasta orders to our table at no time. Our antipasti had a good selection of tomato bruschetta, marinated olives, cotto ham, mixed salami, prosciutto, boconcini and flat bread with dipping oil/balsamic vinegar. Our main, which was Linguine with prawns, garlic, sundried tomato and rocket were both very scrumptious and could be shared by 2 people. After all the good food, there was no room left for dessert. Will definitely come back to try the different dishes and the decadent dessert menu. Ambience - great!
Vibrant Italian restaurant with plenty of pizza and pasta favourites. Normally features attractive daily specials and is also a comfortable place for a wine or coffee. Dining experience tends to suit groups, but you could also go for a casual date night. Service is great and plenty of options for most different diets, including some good vegan dishes.
The food was average but not good value. We ordered the set menu which was advertised for a different price on their website vs the fork where i booked. It was the exact same menu in terms of items, so I don’t understand why the price would be different. I thought it was the same price as the one on their website, I didn’t even notice the price of the one on the fork. When we got to the restaurant, it was fairly empty but we were being ignored by 3 wait staff talking at the counter before one of them decided to serve us. After the antipasti and mains, our table was cleared and we waited over 30min for dessert before wait staff layed down some pizza holders and the manager? that first sat us down came over and apologised for the long wait for our mains. We explained that we already finished our mains a while ago and that we had been sitting there waiting for dessert. After another 20 or so minutes if it wasn’t a set menu, we would’ve walked out by now, we were waiting about an hour for dessert, we got the dessert banoffee tart which was ice cold and could no way take that long to make. It had to be prepare to be that cold, otherwise it would be piping hot. I understand mistakes, especially if a restaurant is busy but the restaurant was extremely quiet, with barely any tables max 7 tables. There were probably more wait staff than there were tables. Would not recommend this restaurant. After writing to their company about my experience, I’ve heard nothing back from them.
