Oh mannnn! I have wanted to check this place out in like forever!! My expectations were too high for an overall experience. Don't get me wrong, the pastries and cakes looked and tasted great. Btw, Must try 'Hot Cross 'bun' Coissant" we also tried the creme brulee, orange and pash, and mixed berry danishes. I think where it lacks is the customer service and the ambience of the place, to make it a really good experience, it could be so much more. The man himself was there that day, and it would've been nice to get a friendly gesture to acknowledge that customers are here to purchase your delicious creations, a smile, a wave, a hello...something?! It just felt cold and as though we were intruding in your space... See, overall experience ...mehh, pastries
Different but good. If you are the kind of person that wants to try a different variety or types of unusual cakes, this is your hangout or to go shop. Overall we enjoyed it
I would say their strengths are the mousse cakes, which are beautiful to look at and tasty with creative flavour combinations. On the other hand, have had a few of their croissants and danishes and find them to be on the dry and bready side, not crispy/buttery.
I have been wanting to come here for a while! Love the open kitchen set up, you see pastry chefs making dough gives the place a nice atmosphere. The sourdoughs were placed on the walls which was cool! There was an overwhelming selection but we only got the cherry danish and teas to go. The pastry had soften and the cherries were neither sweet or sour. Overall was not a very memorable snack to go.
I had been looking forward to going to this place for over a year. The desserts and croissants looked amazing. When I finally was able to make it to the bakery the desserts looked beautiful but I was really disappointed at the croissants and pastries. They were stale and about the same quality as what you would get at bakers delight, maybe worse but better presented. The person who served me seemed disinterested and I felt like I was bothering him. All up a very disappointing experience. Go to Wild Cockatoo Bakery instead for croissants.
While the cakes and croissants are good, the prices are definitely a bit steep. I had high expectations for the croissant since there’s so much hype about it but it’s not as fluffy as expected. The coconut tart was pretty good - subtle flavours and wasn’t overly sweet.
This is one of Red and my favourite places to visit. The pastries are to die for and they serve great coffee. The weekly croissant specials I have tried have all been great. My favourite so far was the mixed berry and cheesecake. Another reason we keep coming back is my mother loves their cakes. We have bought a number of their full size cakes, all are exceptional and great value for money considering the quality, ingredients and flavours. My mother and family all thoroughly enjoyed the special cake which was dark chocolate mousse, raspberry marshmallow, passion fruit cream, brownie and raspberry chantilly. I’ll be back for another cake on Mother’s Day.
Amazing croissants - I had the cheese and ham croissant which I highly recommend. It helps to eat it on a plate. Great pies, cakes, and juices available. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Street parking available but limited.
Beautiful fresh pastries made daily. They change the menu every weekend so there is always new pastries to try. Drinks are delicious as well. Nice fresh restaurant with plenty of seating.
We had plain Croissants, cappuccino & tart. The coffee was average, the plain Croissants were not delicious. But man! That Tart was sooo yummmm. Nice service & atmosphere.
