This station is a neglected piece of valuable infrastructure.nSuch a shame.nGood for watching traffic congestion from the bridge and feeling smug.nTry to change modes...even though a tram runs underneath it.nTry to cycle away and you're like to die.nMy favorite part is the cluster of scooters and the fast cyclists on descents.nThat said, they've spent millions on the traffic intersection to store traffic.
It's a bit dated and noisy, but pretty scenic for a station so close to the CBD ~10-15 minutes by train depending on if it goes via the loop. Could do with better passenger info systems & easier accses. I saw a rainbow lorakeet in one of the trees close to the back of the platform which was pretty cool!
This station has its fair share of problems. For one, the signage on which side of the platform you have to take in order to enter/leave the metropolitan area could be a lot clearer, especially on the two main paths to enter the station. Pedestrian access is also very poor, too many lights to cross the road with no protective barries making the journey a little risky if nearby traffic is busy. Disability access could also be improved greatly by updating the paths to make them more smoother and also providing a lift for people who take a while to travel up the ramp. Lastly, they have no electronic signage here telling you when the next train is and when the next train times are. You have to trust the slightly puzzling train timetable or just look at your phone.
Very dated train station in inner city Melbourne.nThere's no digital display with information of arrival times, and you have to enter either side under the bridge to the respective direction of travel.
This is Flemington Bridge. Upfield line Trains run through here regularly, although less frequent on the weekends, and they do not have MYKI barriers so you can not pay, if you choose
