Flame is an absolute local institution - if you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out! Everything on the menu is delicious and it’s so nice to have a local takeaway option that is just like home-cooked food. Sophie, Harry, Plaire and the team are friendly and know their locals. I love the decor and the fact that it hasn’t changed recently - truly vintage. It is accessible for people with mobility needs, and is nice and quiet if you’re dining with someone who prefers calm environments. So nice not to have to shout to hear the person next to you over dinner. Great to have a BYO venue too. Thank you, Flame! You are doing a stellar job.
Food is delicious but overpriced for the size. Food portion is very small. There was an asian waitress in the shop who is poor in customer service. Shop vibe is like a takeaway food shop at the front which makes the place less decent for a seated dinner setting.Food: 1/5
A treat to taste buds! Ordered the chicken skewers with traditional Greek salad which was the yummiest dish I ever had. Lovely staff and to top it off authentic Greek Food. Must visit if you live in the vicinity!
Just had take away but have been going here for many years now. Much better than some chain places. Real gyros with real meat cooked properly over charcoal. Good value. Parking: There is parking on the street and behind plus in side street.
We had a fabulous late dinner here the other night. The saganaki was a spectacular start to the meal. We followed this with Calamari, which was slightly overcooked but still tasty. We then had the open Gyro with tzatziki - the best tzatziki I have ever had! just yum. We ended the meal a lovely Greek coffee. Highly recommend if you're in the area.
Great food friendly staff amazing atmosphere oh and if u order the seafood set menu make sure you are very hungry.

We just had Flame for my birthday dinner at home. I have been craving proper Greek home style cooking for so long and it was absolutely exceptional. I had the Moussaka and it was the best Moussaka I have ever eaten. Along with vegetables, it was a huge serving. Everyone loved the dips and whitebait as well. Everything was delicious. Sophie, your food is perfection. I grew up eating so much Greek Food in Melbourne and I have missed it so much. Next time I am back in town, I will definitely be back. Thank you for making my birthday extra special.
Wow!! The service was great. The waiter had a sense of humour. The food was amazing. The meat delicious. The Greek coffee was so good, I had two. Everything I ate tasted delicious . I don't usually give reviews. I am fussy. Eating here made me happy. :
