Story

Flame. A secret South African BBQ recipe wrapped around amazing ribs and steaks. We’re a restaurant of course but we pride ourselves on the welcoming and enthusiastic service we bring to every table. Entertainment from start to finish. The views are stunning, the team are hand-picked for their passion and our warm welcome is just the beginning of what we hope will be a long and happy friendship.

Within walking distance of all major hotels and just metres away from Queenstown bay, you will smell the alluring aroma of Flame food before you even find us. Follow your nose and you will find us tucked away upstairs and embark on an eating adventure you are sure to enjoy.

Wonderful food and a great experience. The waitresses were very friendly and made us feel welcomed and attended to in the restaurant.nnThe overall atmosphere is also great and the views are stunning outside which I also enjoyed.nnThe food itself was excellent, I had the sirloin steak which was cooked to perfection and I also tried some of the ribs which were delicious as well and not too sweet which I loved. The feta and beetroot salad was also good and I really liked the walnut hahannDefinitely recommend this place with your family!

Best steak in New Zealand. I had a surf & turf, it was amazing! The service was also amazing. Very busy, would recommend making a reservation.
The lamb skewer was so good that even 3 of my friends who don’t take lamb also tried it n says good. Seafood chowder really nice esp with the lemon squeeze. Pork ribs is one of the best I had ever.
I visited in Queenstown with my good friend, coming all the way from Auckland. This wasn't my first time here; I had celebrated my birthday at Flame before, and once again, it did not disappoint. The pork ribs were as delicious as ever, the beef was incredibly tender, and the salad vegetables were fresh and crisp. The shrimp was also quite flavorful. I ordered a cocktail that wasn't too sweet, which was perfect.nnThe restaurant staff were all very warm and welcoming. Unfortunately, I accidentally broke a water glass at the end of our meal. I felt really sorry about it and knew I should have been more careful. However, the staff were exceptionally kind and reassured me patiently. I truly love this restaurant and will definitely visit again next time I'm in Queenstown.
