I must say this is an exquisite establishment that embodies the poor mans life. Fish and Chips keeps the poor ready and happy to work. Personally you would never find me eating commoners cuisine, but to create this excellent review for you all I swallowed my pride.
Best fish and chip shop . Food always tastes fresh and not greasy. Very generous size serves. Always gives you more fish than you asked for. Highly recommended.
My family and I have been buying our takeaways here for two years and can not fault them at all. I recommend the packs as they are really good value ! expect to need a few extra dollars chips it you are feeding a tribe. Cheers Fitzy's for the great food and serviceFood: 5/5
Pretty average fish n chips. Had snapper and it was overcooked, batter was chewy and the fish had shrunk down considerably. Chips were average. We had 1 person allergic go gluten and they struggled to understand and communicate what options there were for them.Food: 3/5
Been getting our fish and chips here for many years, however recently the quality has been poor, fish is small and thin, potato fritters are ridiculously thin and the quantity of chips in a two person pack wasn't enough for one person. We have given them the benefit of the doubt and tried three times recently, but in fact it got worse each time. They have ruined a good business and we will not be going back.
Quality definitely went down hill since covid. For the price definitely not worth it chips are soggy and fish is dry and batter is terrible. Not going back.
We bought 2 burgers and 2 scoops chips with drinks. Nice burgers and chips were pretty good too.
Back in the day, my ma used to buy me fish n chips every Friday. we called it fish n chip Friday. The quality of the chips has degraded over the years, and the fish tastes bad. As much as I love Fitzy's, I hate it.
Unfortunately the review I left below some time back no longer applies, we have been visiting this shop for years and have been happy, however recently they have increased prices which I accept, however quality and quantity has dropped. We always get an F pack which usually has plenty to feed my wife and I, the last 3 times the chip quantity was just enough for one person. I mentioned this to the young Asian lady at the shop and was rudely told that was the correct amount. We drive 20km to come to this shop and now it is no longer worth the effort. The best fish and chips in Franklin area. Nice fish and lovely spring rolls. Get your fish and chips and park near the water.
Our first visit, we had fish n chips. I like that the oil is well drained and they don’t drown it all in salt. We will return.
