I went there for lunch, preferring this place for it's renown steak. All in all the steak was good, but: - The access coming from the north on the M3 is somewhat confusing. You need to take a bus lane, or do a u-turn and come back towards the restaurant. - Once arrived, there was no one to great us and take us to our table, although the place was far from busy. - After ordering via the app a porterhouse and a rib fillet, we could see the meals being ready from the kitchen window, but no one actually took them, so by the time they arrived to the table, the meat and sides were nearly cold. All in all, the meal was good. If the steaks had been hot, they would have been close to excellent. The same can be said about the chips and baked potato, or the garlic bread. But sadly, they were cold. As for the venue, it's the classic pub, but I think that it could do with a bit of renovation, or even just with a substantial clean up including the area under the ceiling with the plants covered in dust. I believe that we were a bit unlucky. A bad day can happen, so I will most likely be back when in that side of town to see if it was just an isolated event.
Great variety of food! The calamari starter could be shared as the portion size is quite big. The cob loaf with garlic butter etc. was tasty and both starters shared between 5, was ample. Everyone enjoyed their main meals, and there was no room for dessert. Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Vegetarian options: Very limited. Parking: Very limited. Make sure you allow time to find parking nearby when The Gabba is open.
Had a some lovely meals with some friends. We ordered a variety of dishes and drinks. They were all fabulous. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the portion sizes were very generous and the atmosphere was lovely. Parking seem easy enough to find and the diners that had the steaks loved them. Although it is a steak house they did have an option for those that try not to eat animal products including a large starter of cauliflower buffalo wings which was yum and an earth bowl. Overall a lovely experience , reasonable prices and a convenient and comfortable venue.
We have lived in Brisbane for four years now and keep driving past this hotel with the sign saying best steak in Brisbane. We were looking for somewhere to eat lunch so decided today was the day we'd try the place. Getting to the place from the intersection was confusing, but with the gps, driving around again, we got there. Lol. There is parking out the back. We were seated quickly, they have indoor and outdoor tables. The place was quite busy when we got there around 1pm. There is table service however they have the ordering app available too which we love, so we ordered from our phone. The drinks came out quickly as did the food. I ordered eye fillet. It was tender but lacked flavour. Quite a bit of fat on the piece and one mouthful I couldn't chew. The chips were average but the blue cheese and walnut salad was delicious. I'm not a big fan of salad but this was my favourite part of the dish. My husband had the wagyu +2 rump. His had more flavour than mine but it was pretty average also. I'm not sure what makes them the best steak in Brisbane or when they won the award, but I think if you go here, just go knowing you will get a big meal and that there is a large variety of meal options, and you will enjoy the experience. However, if you are new to Brisbane and see the sign "best steak in Brisbane" don't go out of your way to come to this restaurant to try the best steak in Brisbane. I would go back here, but just without the expectation of the best steak in Brisbane.
Sorry for the low score but have been here many times 50+ and taken many friends here but the last several times has been very disappointing. Firstly you changed the winning menu that you had and secondly we have had to consistently to return our steaks back to the kitchen. I am 100% sure that you can solve this and I am looking forward to coming back soon to once again give you a 5 star review that I believe that you deserve please put the lamb shank back on the menu, it is outstanding! Thanks

Always an absolute pleasure to visit. We know we are getting a fantastic meal and a very reasonable price. On a side note...I wish I ordered a dozen kilpatrick oysters just for myself and not to share They are bloody outstanding!
I had a dinner with my family. They gave us a small table outside. I ordered a pizza, stake, chicken wings, pork ribs, kids drinks, beer and wine. The table wasn’t big to serve all the dishes, but staff just gave dishes to us and disappeared. We hold our food as there’s no space then put the food all together using 2 plates to make a space. The food was ok, not extinguished but not too bed. Just alright. The staffs were bed. Not kind and had always a frowned face. I asked the staff name when I paid. The person to be specially rude was Joyce. Thanks to Joyce our family dinner was also bed. It was just waste of money and time. No recommend the restaurant at all.
Great little place, chill vibe, steaks are perfect... As they should be.. you pay for it.. but worth it. A/C seemed to struggle and was quite humid and sweaty.. but food made it worth it.Food: 5/5
