I have had memberships at a few gyms around Melbourne over the years, but have always lost the motivation to keep going, and more to the point not been encouraged and supported to stay motivated and interested by the staff & management of those gyms.
 Now I have found a gym, and that is Fernwood St Kilda, that ticks all those boxes and more!!  The staff are professional,motivating, keenly interested in your progress & well being and above all are 100% on hand for any type of advice or help. This is the mark of an 'above excellent' gymnasium. 
The ambience & outlook of the gym is second to none, as we look over the beautiful trees of the Albert Park Lake area, as we exercise.  The whole space is always clean and fresh with great facilities for the ladies use.  
f any girls are looking for a fabulously motivating and great exercise experience then Fernwood, St Kilda gym is the one I recommend as the BEST gym for a great girls space to exercise in and work towards your fitness and life goals.

RACIST/DOUBLE STANDARD/PUSHY.Bought a voucher for one month trial. The membership manager refuse to sign me up and keep saying "you have to be an Australian citizen" and repeated it for at least 3 times because I am with the Asian face? The second time I came here with my Australian passport she did not ask or check it, and I see no one signing up the membership there have been asked for a citizenship proof. 2 weeks later the membership manager called offering me an appointment of signing up the paid membership OTHERWISE I CAN NOT USE THE TRIAL VOUCHER. I have only have been there once on the sign up day and paid for one month trial. I don't understand why she is so pushy, feels like I am taking advantage of them.I need to try the classes see if that suit me, and I have paid for it. BTW the place is small and crowd, the instructor left half way of the class. DON'T GO.

I can't speak highly enough of the staff and facilities at Fernwood St kilda . The staff are very helpful and understanding of everyone's individual needs and goals , they are so supportive and encouraging to the point that you feel motivated, confident and comfortable in the relaxed women only atmosphere . I highly recommend anyone and everyone who feels intimidated or uncomfortable in a mixed gym to go and try Fernwood where you will be welcomed into a very stress free and quiet environment.

Love It! Singed up a few weeks ago and definitely don't regret it! All the staff are so helpful and it feels like they really want you to do well. All the ladies who attend the gym are also really friendly, it's just got a great vibe. The gym itself could do with a little TLC, but it is still by far the best gym in Melbourne!

Love that they send me SMS with all the specials. It feels like I am encouraged to come and work out which is really great.
