Wasn’t like the photos at all. Only got a few options to choose from. And I’m giving an extra because the owners were nice. But come one now. One of the dishes tasted and looked like it was sitting there for 3 days. Only a few brownies for dessert. The only thing I loved was the lamb and prawns. No rice no potatoes just chips. Not worth it for the price. Lots of parking
My go to place, where I take all my friends and family. This has become a second home lol. I love this restaurant, I have introduced my friends and family to this place. Where now they bring their own here. Food is nice and decent, clean environment I love how they change and top up their food compartments. Most buffets they give you a 2 hour mark. I love how this place doesn’t force you out. When I am with my family or friends we always talk and chill. I love how there’s no time frame. Friendly staff and restaurant, yummy Korean bbq, such a spacious area to move around
Worst kbbq I’ve been to, very dirty and flies were everywhere, the man working there was very nice don’t get me wrong it’s just not worth the money. On the website it said only $25 then when we went in it said $29 and when we paid and asked him he said $32 ? Overcharging us for days old dirty food. I do not recommend this place for anyone, they deserve to be shut down as if they passed health n safety.
Staff were lovely. Food was yummy, may need more variety of drinks and desserts and its affordable especially for eat a place that you can eat all you can. Maybe look at getting a aircon installed. I would definitely recommend KBQ for a family dinner or a small gathering lots of space to move around... I'll come here any day.
Was extremely disappointed not just with the food but the overall experience. There was extremely limited options for children, the only dessert was 1 single slice cut into portions which was placed next to the raw meats and spices, there was passive aggressive signs stating payment for food wastage stating a $10 penalty but in brackets said $20, an extra charge for an additional burner when the two given was not enough to feed the amount of people that we brought in you’d expect this to be covered by the cost per person and there was no effort made in the sign it having been $4 and now $6, the cooked food that was out was cold and tasted as if it had been sitting out for ages and was uncovered with flys all around. The lighting was extremely dark, it was hot and stuffy with the closest thing to air conditioning being 1 loud fan, the carpets were dirty, the toilets were disgusting with marks all over the walls and no soap available besides a mixture of soap and water left in the dispenser. Had to go somewhere else later on for the children in our family as they left unsatisfied.
Would not recommend, family of 7 only offered us 2 burners and an extra $6 to set another. Not much selection only one dessert and it was set up next to the sauces not covered with flies everywhere. The floors were dirty and the toilets were disgusting
The most disgusting place I've been to. The food was not fresh just by looking at it. Went to get rice and we asked the worker if it was from yesterday and he said "yeah I think so" Red flag already. Was so dissapointed and scarred from that first time experience. I went because i was going off the good reviews nek minute dissapointed. Would not recommend this place ever and also to top it off. My sister went to buy a small can of coke and the worker reckons to charge her $8 which she refused to pay and then he changed his mind to charging her $3 ‍
I want to see this place thrive. We are losing our Korean BBQ places in Manukau that are open throughout the day and we need to keep them open cos they are such cool places to experience different food. Korean BBQ leshgo!!!! I came today with my family like 2 in the afternoon. For the price $29 for Adults it’s pretty good. My 9 year old was $18 and my 3 year old $6. The owner is a very friendly guy. Worked alone today. The food on offer is really good for the price for all you can eat. Bulgogi, Kim chi, seaweed salad, pickled food, rice, chicken wings, fries and other already cooked foods on offer to eat while your food is frying. First time having tteokbokki it was yum! They had a decent selection of raw foods to cook on the hot plate. My favourite was the onions and prawns. Ate my fill of Kim chi . They also have free flow hot tea and water. Had some awesome K Pop playing for our entertainment. Which is really nice. The place might not be the flashest or boujeest for some folks and may need an update. But what it lacks it makes up with heart. To provide food like that in these times for Manukau is massive especially after covid. We will be back again. If you’re looking for something affordable and not too overly fussy about decor and such come check this place out. It has a cool laid back vibe to stuff your face. My family loved it and enjoyed the food. Thanks Family House BBQ. P.S: Don’t let your eyes be bigger than your stomach. Uncertain of food take little samples first to try out. Don’t waste food.
My family of 5 dined in for lunch today and it was our first time. We were pleasantly surprised. Good variety of food, drink and dessert. Family friendly, clean, tidy, accessible parking and a great local eat. The staff are very welcoming, as soon as we were seated we were served complimentary bowls of egg fried rice. Recommended local family eatery.
A favorite place to have Korean BBQ, calm and polite atmosphere, give it a try you won't regret.
