First visit to this GP clinic nnI attended with a moderately severe red, swollen, inflamed eye. The staff were kind and the appointment was reasonably prompt, which I appreciated.nnHowever, I left concerned about the clinical assessment.nnMy relevant health history, which was pertinent to the presentation, didn’t appear to be explored or integrated into the evaluation. It also seemed that my description of the condition and symptom progression may not have been fully understood.nnThe eye was examined briefly, but:nn* No fluorescein stain was usedn* No swabs were takenn* No differential diagnosis was discussednnI was told it “looked like a bacterial infection” and was prescribed antibiotics, despite there being no clear clinical indicators of bacterial conjunctivitis.nnUnfortunately, the condition deteriorated significantly. I presented a couple of nights later to the Emergency Department at Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in much worse condition, where a different diagnosis and management plan were provided.nnThere were several alternative steps that could have been taken during the initial consultation that may have led to a more appropriate course of care. In particular, antimicrobial stewardship and a more thorough diagnostic process would likely have been beneficial.nnIt’s disappointing, as the staff seemed well-intentioned. However, clinical thoroughness and diagnostic accuracy are critical, especially in ocular presentations where deterioration can occur quickly.nnUnfortunately, this experience reflects a broader inconsistency I’ve encountered in primary care. It often feels like roulette; occasionally excellent, but too frequently cursory.
I go here with my family for 6 years already. Dr. Dilruba has been awesome in taking care of us. She's very holistic in her approach. One of the best GP I ever went to. When she's not available we see Dr. Mary Gerald who is really good, too.
Drs and nurses are so helpful here. So rushing or feel you’re giving them a problem when addressing any issue. Also receptionists are kind are welcoming. Great service from them all
Moving to a new area during one of the lowest points in my life, I found it really difficult to trust and find the right doctors for my health concerns.nnDr Mary is very compassionate. She try her best and do whatever she can within her scope of practice to support you. With her, I feel safe, reassured and truly cared for.nnDr Maged is kind, gentle, and patient. He takes the time to listen and explain things in a clear way.He never rushes you, and makes sure you fully understand what’s going on. His approach brings comfort and confidence when it’s most needed.nnThe reception staff, nurses, and pathologists are all very friendly and accommodating as well. I’m glad I came here
Dr Behzad is great! All services are bulk billed including Telehealth appointments. They also do blood collections for pathology tests.
